@@reyannecopus6624Texas is even worse, specifically Houston. We’re right on the gulf so we get the tropical weather + cold fronts and stuff that comes down on us. Also doesn’t help that it was built on marshes. Super fun here😍

It depends on where you’re from some people celebrate Christmas December 24 (like here in Sweden) while others celebrate Christmas December 25😭🙏
Some of my family’s from Sweden so we do both 😈
i celebrate on both days but i’m not from sweden lol. basically in my family we open gifts from our family and friends on the 24th, we also have a feast on that night. and then on the 25th we open presents from “santa” and we have a brunch on that day.

In puerto rico aka (the caribbean) its always a green christmas but the weather gets to the 70s its kinda like australia but we do celebrate christmas there
as someone who’s lived in Australia then moved to Sweden, I can confirm that there, I was basically swimming in the winter but now I’m freezing every second 😭
in Germany, Christmas Eve is the main holiday. So on the 24th there’s the presents and the food and church. And then we have the “Weihnachtsfeiertage” these are the 25th and the 26th. is that weird? And it NEVER snows in the north but it’s too colldddddd.
Not everyone celebrated on Dec 25th, some people celebrate on the 24th.

Northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere has opposite seasons. Basically if you’re north of the equator December is winter and July is summer. If you’re south of the equator December is summer and July is winter.

THANK YOU! I was talking to my cousin the other day about how it’s always so hot on Christmas and she was like “but ain’t it winter” and I had to give her a 20 minute talk about how seasons work. Don’t blame her too much tho bcs a lot of people who live in the northern hemisphere don’t seem to know that we celebrate Christmas is summer. We love my cousin ❤
We do the Air conditioner thing aswell. Full blast Christmas day , traditional English Xmas meal with our jumpers on . 32 degree Celsius outside . 16 degrees inside. Only way to do it .

And when it’s this hot in Brazil all you want is the pool and ice cream basically lol
And barbecues because the go so well with pool days
It’s nice to note that christmas celebrations here usually happen on the 24/25… not everyone but lots of people wait till midnight for christmas supper and exchange presents at night too, usually after supper so it’s technically already the 25th🤷🏻♀️
And we get together on the 25th too
And yes, as a kid I believed all the Santa stuff… keeping the kids away from where the Christmas tree so santa can leave the presents there usually does the trick… there is also the case where someone might dress up as santa
