My first attempt at filming high frame rate LEGO video. This video is more like experiment and learning tool without much preparation. My future videos should be better.
I used very simple - 6 and 8 stud wide MOC cars and trucks, because I needed to rebuild everything many times. And also I need to invent designs that can be used for slow motions crashes, because my normal LEGO builds are not that easy to brake.
I also plan to use modular City buildings and larger structures in future videos to get more destruction and create some sort of LEGO chase/pursuit scenes using police vehicles, maybe recreate scenes from movies or something like that. Although its a bit difficult to set up everything without much free room around.
Also I don't think I will show anywhere else my MOC cars and trucks featured in this video. These LEGO models are just too simple. And most of them are destroyed :D
Important: No minifigures were harmed in this video.
Filmed at 1000fps with the Sony RX100V.
And yes, crashing LEGO really ruin pieces. Some parts don't snap together anymore.
Later I will probably create slow motion crash videos using scale cars/trucks.
Music is just random songs from free UA-cam audio library. _

Perhaps create a dam breach video with a slomo camera too
Jep, I'm thinking about more epic videos! The problem is, that currently with one camera I have only one take to capture around 2-3 sec real time event. So I would need more cameras to get at least like 30 - 60 sec footage per destruction. (rebuilding for each take or new view point is not really reasonable form time perspective and result would look different with each take). But I think I will get there with time!

the key to these things is loosening the connections between the bricks before the collisions.

Very nice! I love the construction scenes and tire piles you set up for the cars to hit, I'm going to have to try that for my next LEGO crash video. Your cars also look a lot simpler and easier to put back together than mine, usually takes me 10-15 minutes to repair just one after a major crash!
You've got a really nice camera for doing slow motion too, wish I had the budget for one like that, my dad's iPhone only does 240 fps.

I will not fix that because this problem is not on my side. Otherwise you would not be the only one. My first and most realistic guess - browser plugin or extension, that remove ads can do this.

When I watch this is full-screen mode, images are slightly out of focus. Is that because of the camera used? Not high-enough quality? Or is it my large monitor which is to blame?
Yes, the actual resolution goes down when the frame rate goes up. The final format is still in full HD format in all modes, but its digitally upscaled to that. I'm guessing the actual resolution would be something around 600px... Also focus point is very narrow (no auto focus or anything), so its very hard to get the focus right, everything always moves out of it.

I can't make tutorial, because this car uses old discontinued LEGO parts that are not in my software. On the other hand, that model is so easy and uses very few parts, you should be able to figure out everything carefully from the video.
