One of the biggest movie stars ever. A talented down to earth lady.

I was young when Alice Faye did this interview - but now that I'm a senior citizen, how I wish I had been in the audience to hear her talk.

Excellent interview! Miss Faye was so lovely. Her eyes were beautiful. She was a good actress and an excellent singer. I always remember the three movies she filmed with the great Tyrone Power: "In Old Chicago" (1938), "Alexander's Ragtime Band" (1938) and "Rose of Washington Square" (1939). I love them and I watch them frecuently. Alice and Ty made a spectacular cinematic couple. There was a lot of chemistry between them. Miss Faye said about Tyrone Power: "He was the best looking thing that I've ever seen in my life. Kissing him was like dying and going to heaven". And I'm completely sure it must have been like that. Furthemore, Miss Faye and Mr. Power both had their birthday on the same day, May 5, but she was a year younger. Thank so much!

Had the great privilege of knowing this lovely lady in the 1980’s. Loved her all my life on film, and as a person, they don’t come any dearer or kinder!! ❤️❤️❤️💐💐💐

I'm struck by how much more excited she is to discuss what she's doing NOW as opposed to rehashing her Hollywood days. She's remarkably reticent about the past, which is refreshing if a bit frustrating at times.

Alice Faye, in her later life, showed great magnanimity, as evidenced here when asked about the studio moguls, specifically Darryl Zanuck. I appreciate this and her comment about the style and class cultivated by and in her generation. She was a Lady through and through.

Alice Faye gave quite different answers to the questions she was asked in this interview when she was interviewed by a Los Angeles newspaper twenty years prior. For example, to the Los Angeles Times she stated that she walked out of her contract at Fox because of her disagreement with mogul Mr. Zanuck about how her scenes were cut from "Fallen Angel" to favor Linda Darnell. Also her first husband Tony Martin writes in his autobiography that Alice left him for Phil Harris while he was still married to her and he was stationed overseas.

@@jackjules7552 Yes, Ms. Faye seems to have chosen to overlook some of the disappointments and let-downs of her past in her later years.
