Great video! Al was/is my uncle. (Great uncle). One of the best! I was very young when he passed. I still remember standing in his Trophy room. Most of them being taller than me! And having Tasnady cookouts in the backyard. Thank you for posting this, and bringing my memories back with Uncle Al.

Thank you for watching and commenting. Tas was my favorite driver from the first time I saw him race in 1963 until he retired. He was not only a great driver, but was also a great guy to hang around with in the pits and infield after the race was over. So much fun!

    Reading, Nazareth, Flemington, Orange County...
Only Orange County remains, but it's not the same. Those of us who live for and in the past shed tears for the loss of great racetracks, great drivers; the loss of coupes and sedans, un-muffled, fuel injected big blocks, and 25-cent gasoline.

My buddies and I went to em all Pete. At Orange County we rooted for the fireball #99 of Bobby Malzahn, great guy, and his wife Bernice was a great gal.Gary Balough in tbe 73 would always seem to be him out in a feature though. Then CD Coville would come down with his #61 and whip Balough's ass.

I really liked Taz. Every Sataturday my mom and dad would take us to the old Flemington Speedway to see the stock car races. Back then it was a dirt track. Those were good races also. TYVM for sharing your awesome video.

I want to apologize to everyone that has viewed my videos and commented for not replying immediately. I have taken on a very large undertaking for the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing that has consumed a great deal of my time and kept me from completing more videos and replying to comments in a timely fashion. I appreciate all the compliments and comments along with the likes and follows. I am hoping going forward from here that I will have more time to pay attention and will reply as quickly as I can to any future comments or questions.
    Thank you!
    Carl

Al Tasnady was a great driver at Flemington, got his share of wins there, and Iiked his driving style. Liked seeing him race at East Windsor too.

Thanks for commenting! The racing back in the 60s, 70s, and early 80s was awesome, and it was guys like Tas and many others that made it that way.

@@concepts1157 people were happier and more friendly and you always had fun even if your guy didn't win, today everybody is stressed too many worries paying the bills and it shows at the tracks crowds are way down, i'm so glad i grew up in the early 60's the music was great and racing was on top of the world!
