I just use a serated knife and tuck my elbow into my side. Then just turn. The turn table and let it basically do the cutting. I don't use it like a saw.
I don't even have the words! That cake is just amazing and beautiful and classic. Just,WOW! Did you use icing around the bottom edges? I don't use fondant alone but am going to stack a cake covered and have had nightmares about the seam. Lol
I wish I could say for sure, but I use American most of the time. I have used Swiss a lot and I know you vcan keep it stored in the fridge for about a week. You just have to let it come to room temp and re-whip it before using. Otherwise it is yellow and tastes like a stick of butter;(

You can store it in the fridge, I always do! It will have some condensation, but give it an hour or two at ro temp and it will dry.

What I think I saw: Did you put 3 wooden dowels in the centre ?
No I know it looked like it, but there were 2. I use a shorter peice of dowel to push the actual Dowels in further then pull that peice out.

Hi Mary do you perhaps know how long you can keep Italian merrigue buttercream and how to store it.. I can't seem to find this info anywhere.
