Expanding voter registration is good. In Australia you are legally required to cast a ballot. Otherwise you'll be fined. That way no one can say the will of the people wasn't adhered to. You should support more voters. If you don't then you are a poor excuse for an American.

The date the votes are due doesn't change, if anything voting in person give more time to research candidates because you get to research right up until the day you cast your vote rather than filling out the ballot early so it makes it to the poll on time.

Mail in ballots should be banned except for people that have already been issued a handicap placard. ♿ Everyone else can go to a local polling place. If you're out of town, too bad for you. Simple, but it will never happen.

@@RingoStarr_ I asked for a mail-in ballot, marked it at home, then drove down to the polling place to drop it off in a drop box. Easy peasy, was only out of my car for about a minute, drove away while hundreds of people were lined up around the block to vote in person.
I think that's the best way to handle it. They could go a step further and have a drive-through drop-off where a poll worker validates an ID to check that the ballot being dropped is on the list of mail-ins.
Also, why isn't Election Day a NATIONAL HOLIDAY? This country's leadership is ridiculous.
