      I wish I had enough time to make a video about it. The answer is a bit complex but long story short:
      In the sentences you mentioned, "que" is used to specify what type of "nada" we are talking about. For instance, in the expression "No hay nada que hacer", I'm pointing out the kind of "nothing" that I am talking about. It’s not just any "nothing", it’s specifically "nothing to see."
      Now, look at this expression: "No tengo nada de comida". I am using the word "de" to point out the kind of "nothing" that I am talking about, "comida". And you might be wondering why "de" and not "que"?
      Well, "que" is a typical connector that's followed by a verb: "Tengo que hacer mis deberes", "Espero que hagas tus deberes", etc.
