This is a really helpful series - thanks for putting it together! I've been considering transitioning to SWADE to run some Mignola style Achtung Cthulhu adventures and these videos are a great length to put on during lunch breaks.
I felt the same way when I took on the system for my firs real campaign. There are a lot of ways to approach it. First, you could remove it entirely. I started down this path but decided to hold until I'd run a few sessions. When we got going, I found it a fantastic way to poke players in their limbic systems as a reward for role-play, creative thinking, or the best off-color joke. In the end, it gives them a little something to move the story forward and to keep their characters alive. My advice? See what your players want to do. Maybe they hate the concept of bennies as well. But... Buyer beware. In worlds where healing potions aren't a thing... they're an important character to help offset the 3 wound and you're fertilizer system! Anyway... THANK YOU for watching and hopping into the comments! Drop me a note at gm @ mythbrigade.com. Player pack heading your way!
Fun fact… I actually had a bit of a southern accent when I was a wee lad. We lived in a tiny town on Lake Okeechobee called Clewiston which featured one stop light and some massive belt buckles! lol
Really good and thorough introduction to the rules. And fun production/editing too!

Thanks, Burak, and welcome to the Brigade!! Episode 3 is in the works along with episode 10 of our Deadlands campaign!
When are you going to do more episodes? I'm looking forward to Part 3.
Editing as we speak, Basil! The next one talks about movin' and shootin' followed by one on hurtin' and a' dyin' :)
Thank you for these helpful explanations.
Great video
I'm coming into try Savage Worlds from D&D 5E, and bennies sounds simmular to inspiration points; which is a mechanic I never cared for.
