    It needs to be pointed out...that these things are used to help create firebreaks, too. Also, that what USED to happened with organic debris, is it was dozed into a big pile, sloshed with diesel fuel and burned. So for those of you that are so keen on the environment, no; no tree should go that does not have to but if they do better they are mulched than burned. For the misled who worry about CO2 being released, better one diesel machine than a crew with smoky saws, a dozer, then a bonfire. Look at it as things getting better. And maybe soon, perhaps an even better approach can be taken...like companion planting or some efficient way to harvest and reuse all the herbaceous material.

    • @deniscimafincus
      @deniscimafincus  7 років тому +1

      Sadly trees must sometime be cut down to create roads, electric lines or new developments. Our machines are meant to clear lands to make way for infrastructure (roads, mines, electrical lines right-of-ways, pipeline right-of-way, buildings in general) to create firebreaks to stop forest fires or to clear an area of an invasive specie. Furthermore, if there is wood worth harvesting on a land, they will get it out before mulching the rest.
      The ancient way of doing those thing implies the use of multiple chainsaw operators and giant bonfires. We provide a safe, eco-friendly solution.

    should of had this when clearing land for crops. all those wood chips flung everywhere would do wonders for the health of the soil. Before anyone gets butthurt 90% were invasive cedars we were cutting out and chipping them with a traditional wood chipper for compost. about 3 acres of firehazard joined 25 acres of farmland.

    On a somewhat similar note, last summer I watched as parts of my old junior high school were razed by a couple of those crane-bulldozer things with big-ass metal jaws that were pretty much just ripping the shit out of the old non-brick built sections of the buildings. I'd never really watched those things in action. I probably would have taken one of these beasts shown here to the school when I was still going there if they'd existed 35 years ago.
