Ohne zu wissen wie sein Album heißt oder klingt, konnten wir es uns doch nicht nehmen lassen den blutjungen Briten mit der Cash-Stimme für ein paar Fragen hinter ans Schilf zu ziehen.

Gegründet 1994 von Tim Renner unter dem Dach des Musikkonzerns PolyGram (der späteren Universal Music), entwickelte sich Motor Music schnell zum einflussreichen Alternativ Label und entdeckte wegweisende Künstler wie Tocotronic, Rammstein, Sportfreunde Stiller, Element of Crime, Absolute Beginner und viele weitere. Auf dem Höhepunkt des Erfolges als entscheidender Impulsgeber der europäischen Musiklandschaft schlug das Team um Tim Renner 2005 neue Wege ein und gründete Motor Entertainment neu, diesmal selbstständig und auf eigenen Füßen. Viele vertraute Künstler folgten, doch noch viel mehr wurden frisch entdeckt. Auch die Firma selbst erfand sich neu und ergänzte das Musiklabel um einen Verlag, Künstlermanagement sowie verschiedene Medienbeteiligungen.
Das Kerngeschäft besteht dabei in individuellen Dienstleistungen - für Künstler, Kunden und Kreative. Motor führt ihre Veröffentlichungen durch (z.B. Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Selig, Sea + Air, Bon Homme, Super 700, PeterLicht, Moonlight Breakfast, The Hidden Cameras), managed sie (Selig, Max Raabe, The bianca Story, Noma), vermittelt mit der bestens vernetzten Sync Abteilung des Verlages (Jan Blomqvist, Teenage Mutants, Parasite Single, Futurecop!) handverlesene Musik für Film und Werbung, und entwickelt als Ideengeber Kooperationen und Konzepte rund um progressive Musik und darüber hinaus.
Motor Music was founded as a label in 1994 by Tim Renner on behalf of Polygram ( later Universal Music). In the years to follow, the company founded by Germanys biggest major label, advanced quickly to be a pulse generator in the local independent scene with own artists such as Element of Crime, Tocotronic, Virginia Jetzt, Sportfreunde Stiller any many more. Working with Rammstein, Motor Music succeeded to set a mark internationally as well. A selection of present artists and artists of the first generation are Polarkreis 18, PeterLicht, Phillip Boa, Super700, Rainer von Vielen, Herrenmagazin, The Kabeedies, The Bianca Story and many more.
