In this video we travel from Whistler to Europe's biggest indoor snowboarding center in Landgraaf, Netherlands. The Landgraaf Snowworld has the most square footage of indoor snowboarding anywhere in Europe. This is our first time snowboarding at Landgraaf and it was great to check out the terrain park setup. Indoor snowboarding is a great way to stay active during the off season and practice some skill before the winter. Thanks for watching!

Had a chat with Kevin, discussing Landgraaf is pretty much the best we can get here in the Netherlands.. nothing compared to the backcountry i.e... his reply was.. well you can at least go all year round.. he does have a point :D

Yeah that is the good thing about snowworld! Though nothing compares to the outdoor experience but for training indoor is good.

I lived near Landgraaf over 25 years ago. My high school was near there. Of course I only started snowboarding seriously five years ago, so now I'm amazed and even more stoked to return to my teen stomping grounds. Also, go on ahead and add that Shredlife hat to TJ's gear list. I need to cop that! Great work as always, fellas. Wish I could have caught you guys earlier this year when I hit Whistler for the first time. Mt. Baker was better though!

Hey guys! I have been on the Stubai glacier last season, have been there the first time and it was awesome! We had the strongest snowfall for 19 years there and 30 cm new snow over night! I was glad to have my Jones Explorer with me! ;-)

the hall in Landgraf is really great. the best and biggest in Europe. I regularly go there from Frankfurt / Germany and have a lot of fun in summer too.
Maggus McBue bottrop is the biggest but not that exciting as landgraaf. Landgraaf stil my favorite here
@@remcofalkenburg Bottrop has the longest slope at about 600 m, but Landgraaf has 2x 400 meters and a freestyle course...and is steeper.

Yo kevin! I just got a signal YUP for this season. Directional A-Sym true camber for carving and hitting back bowls and steep double blacks! Excited to euro carve it up and have a more stable, fast, all mountain charger :) Very much like the burton you just got!

Landgraaf is bloody wicked. You can lap so often its really great for progression. Well maintained park. High quality accommodation, fantastic food, chilled vibe, never busy. U can teach newbies without lifties complaining. They dont even care if u ride the park without a lid. Just a shame its a 4 hour train journey from London.

Hey, had my first snowboarding lesson this week (albeit on a dry slope in the UK) after watching you guys for about a year! Loved every minute of my lesson however I really struggled standing up onto my heel edge from sitting down. Any tips?
Alice Reed grab the front of the board as you stand up onto your heel edge. Gives you a little more balance that way!
Ditto, apparently I was told to lean my calf back, have a sitting stance and look forward - all the weight is in our hence do not look down.
Plus keep practicing 👌👌👌👌
That's massive! I'm currently learning at 'the snow center' in Hemel near London. Apparently the biggest slope in the U.K so I'm lucky. Just passed level 4 but no idea what that equates to elsewhere. May have to visit Holland someday to ride this.
Biggest in width maybe but definitely not length, that accolade currently goes to Gloucester ski slope but soon it will be Merthyr Tydfil which is still being built!
Sorry I meant England and Wales, the biggest artificial slope in the UK is Edinburgh by a mile

Went there yesterday.. fuckin liiitttt. Had to stop by a Coffeeshop after of course (ps anybody over 18 can get weed from down under in Kerkrade 5 min away any countries Id works)
You guys stayed till 11pm huh? Fun to meet up and thx for the stickers, my 2 girls (Liv and Faye) are truly grateful. Lucky for us it was 27 degrees C outdoors.. so the slopes weren't that busy and or icy/ruined. What did you think of the snow quality (speed wise?)

Pretty sure they use the same artificial snow as they do on mountain ski tracks when it doesn't snow awhile. It's powdery yet a lot more dense than natural pow, so you get a soft landing if you fall but can also do some carving.
