Great camp mate. I know this area well. There's a few crash sites up that way I believe, but this is the most well known I believe. Great area very interesting and remote /quiet. When I went up there we heard voices and a radio and have read of others experiencing similar. Doesn't sound like you had anything strange happen on this occasion anyway. Annoying that those people left their rubbish behind. Gives the rest of us a bad rep. Good on ya for picking it up for them. Atb mate 👍

It's amazing how much is still left out there after so many years. I was surprised how far the debris got scattered. I wonder if the bodies were recovered or if they just burned to nothing and their remains are just in the ground there.

@Tominthetent The Peaks ain't no playground. Especially if a storm or freeze comes unexpectedly season depending of course. It doesn't have to be freezing to cause hypothermia and the contrary heat stroke...... 🫡

I've been at a crash site 6 miles from me on sleive anorra mountain in 1942.they were American too.no survivors
