When I sang this together with our band way back during our old days as we joined a battle of the band competition here in the Philippines as our cover song was really an amazing moments to remember. Though we may not win the grand prize but the very stage presence of having the crowd who was singing out loud from the top of their lungs with us brings shivers to my spine in a place of great nostalgia. And even during our tours and gigs or acoustic nights covering this song and then audience will just scream and close their eyes and sing, some crying over. And who will not forget those who has an Mp3 Player of 513mb of file size, like that of a capsule kind of Mp3 Player, where you try your best to compressed every music file so you can put at least 18 to 20 songs in your player, then plug in your headphones or earplugs while you are walking down the street, riding a jeepney, fx cab or a bus, or taking the into the train station. When you finally hit the play button, close your eyes, and listen to this song. It gave you a sense of escape in this world.
And after so many years when I suddenly found out this video... It brought tears on my eyes all of a sudden. Thank you so much Boys Like Girls, you are part of my life growing up. Your music never gets old... 😢❤️😭
