    Dude, congratulation for the change, however i would definitely not recommend lifting the car by the bushing to press it in or out. Just take some long screw from a scrap yard, some washers and nuts some bearings and 2 U frame and you can safely press in or out the bushing. You have plenty of space for that.

    Get some heat on them and lever under the top edge they come out fairly easily, if all goes well could take 20 min per side. Heat is the key.

    Here's what worked for me. I took the advice in the video about dropping the subframe. Very easy and straight forward. As far a getting the bushing out, I heated up the subframe around the bushing and used a pickle fork as a wedge and hammer to get the bushing to start coming up. Between that , a pry bar and repeated heating it came out rather easy. use heat and or dish soap as lubricant if needed.. GL

    Je les fait sur ma w210 c'est du sport 💪 les deux gros a l'arrière du berceau sont facile, par contre les deux petits a l'avant sont teigneux 😬 il sont explosé tout les deux a leur sortie et leur cerclage au marteau et burin 💪💪, merci votre méthode de sortie et entrées est bien, moi j'ai fabriquer un U avec tige filetée diamètre 12 mm pour la sortie et entrée des silenblocs , merci encore pour cette vidéo 👍.

    подскажите с левой стороны нормально поменял ,а с правой у меня задний сайленблок закис, передний отошел а вот задний не идет пробовал ломом так же нет, чем побрызгать чтоб его снять?

    how did you push the bushing upwards? i didnt understand what you did there. im changing them on my Mb soon

      Put a socket with extension under the bushing and use a jack to jack it up. But you also need to put some blocks or something (I used a big axle nut socket) on the top of subframe so the block will press against the body and you will have clearance to press the bushing out. If you don't put the block in there then you are basically moving the subframe up and down without doing anything. Hope this helps

    Thanks - do you know the rear sway bar mounting bushing "Bolt" part number? One of the bolt is stripped and required replacement. Thanks.

    I took both bolts out on one side and the subframe barely dropped. I've been prying at it and it barely moved. The front bushing will come off the chassis but the rear one seems.seized. Any tips on how to free it up? Sprayed with brake cleaner and pb blaster but it's not helping.

      DinoSR20 Wait, so the bushing is stuck to the subframe or the subframe is stuck to the chassis and it won't come down?

      The rear larger bushing will not let the subtrame come down fully. I think the rubber is stuck to the metal post on the chassis if that makes sense. I'm not able to even jack the subframe back up and put the car back together again.

      DinoSR20 Spray pb blaster and it might take time for it to free up. It's unusual for that thing to get seized. Lightly tap the subframe with a hammer where it's seized. You should be able to put it back, just look where it's binding when you lift the subframe back up.

      Yes it’s possible. You just have to be a little patient and be careful with the sway bar bushings bolts. Sometimes they can strip

      yep i know that i have replaced the rubbers. now i am thinking to upgrade rear sway bar with h&r one and that’s why i wanted to know, if i will able to do the job myself (diy).

    Классно. А чем смазывал новый сайлентблок при сборке. А как меняются задние сайлентблоки подрамника?

      Можно использовать мыло, или что-то, что не вредит резине. Задний сайлентблок я не менял. Там по сложнее. Рекомендую полностью подрамник опустить

    Hy does it work the same with the back bushings ?
    I have a 1995 c180
    They told me it s the back ones .
    Do I need to remove something else , like that triangular shape almost thing ? And can I do it 1 at a time?

      It should be the same procedure like in the video.

      @@redeemernigoohaem9735 in this case lower the whole subframe and do it correctly with the subframe out. In the mean time you must clean and treat all the rust in those areas! It's very important or it'll keep rusting! It's bad

    привет, скажи при съеме одной стороны Вы снимаете перед и зад болт подрамника, а пружина подвески она под нагрузкой остается когда припускаете или ослабляется? я про то что эту же операцию буду делать не подкатным а бутылочным домкратом, хватит ли ему силы?

      Механик М Да, снимаются 2 болта, пружина никуда не улетит. Не знаю, я использовал подкатный.

    Great video! I have a W211 which has got almost all suspension parts and shocks new in the last 30.000km. Now I have the feeling the car is constantly drifting when I turn and it is extremely sensitive to wind on the highway. When there is no wind and the road is straight the suspension works great. But once I turn left right it the back seems to overtake me. Any idea?

      Nikolaj Hard to say. It might be an alignment issue, check your alignment angles and make sure all the suspension components are tight, especially all the bushings

      Were the rear arm outer joints replaced? They made my 210 and 124 feel awful when it was windy, wandering etc.

    I hear knocking noises under my 190E left rear, which is worse at low speeds and cold start. It sounds like metal against metal.
    This problem has made me crazy for 5 years driving the vehicle and many garages have miss-diagnosed the problem.
    The garages have changed N/S and O/S rear:
    Springs
    Shocks
    Top shock mounts
    Front lower control arms and bushes
    I did a crow bar test on the rear N/S when the wheel is removed and when lifting at the front control arm the noise is replicated.
    Do you think the problem is the sub frame bushings / silent blocks???

      Ever checked the rear lower knuckle bushings? They go bad and they're pressed into the knuckle

      Lower control arm mounts to those bushings. Also check the sway bar links and subframe bushings. Subframe bushings go bad too

      VITO'S GARAGE Yes we just changed the entire lower control arm and the bushings are now built into the arm. So both bushings on each side were replaced

    Can you swap the engine off a 1997 e320 into a 1995 C280 without any reprogramming?

      Is it M104 Inline 6 engine?

      Yes but the 1995 c280 has 2.8L inline 6, the 1997 e320 has a 3.2L inline 6 identical in every physical way that I can see and most of the parts on and around the engines are exactly the same

      @@newtonraymond77 The displacement is different, but otherwise the engines should be the same. It should fit no problem. The question is whether or not both of these engines have the same amount of sensors and the same electrical connectors. I think they're both the same.
      The worst case scenario is you might need to swap the ECM and TCM, and maybe the engine harness. I can't really tell now since one car is OBD1 and the other is OBD2.
      Why are you trying to change the engine? Blown head gasket? Maybe there's something I can help with? I work on old school Bimmers and Benzes. I upload new videos every week or different car content.

      @@VITOSGARAGE blown head gasket with 2 problems an oil leak in the front and oil in the reservoir. Every 5 months I remove and clean it which isn't such a big deal but the oil leak produces a puff of smoke when I get off the highway. It'll cost more than the car is worth to repair but I like that little car. I also have two 1997 E320 one I drive and the other in rough shape which is also driveable. I fixed a rough idle condition on it and it's smooth as silk. Perfect engine for a swap but I'm not that knowledgeable I only do basic repairs on my own vehicles

      The head gasket is not that difficult to change on m104. Just don't be afraid, it's not that bad. Do you have Instagram or something? Or write me an email so we can do this. My contact info is in the description of every video

    Pushing up is okay but if the bushing is totally gone you'll just push a blob of rubber out and will still need to remove the remaining bit - heat will help with this.

      moonkef If the subframe is out of the car then I would use the heat. Never tried using the heat on them when everything is on the car. Too risky, especially on rubber

      Great video man. Heat on these kinds of bushings is quite normal only a small blowtorch not a huge welding rig. Mercs are so good to work on though which is a bonus :)

    When i drive my car on street on street way the car go right and left even i hold the steering wheel i spend too much money no body can fix it its same new car its japan import, aventgarde .
    If any car come beside me when i drive my car in street i lost control the car go away to rigt side or left

    Did you have to remove the axle or subframe from the car to remove/replace this bushing?? It looks like you are just jacking up the vehicle, unbolting only one subframe bolt, and letting the weight of the vehicle push out the bushing?? I have a w211 and may do this DIY, and I found your video very useful Note I am starting a thread on my Mercedes forum, and I comment on you video.       Привет! Да, они стучали и потрескались уже. Заменил и тачка прям как новая. Обычно передние сайлентблоки подрамника выходят из строя, задние в порядке.

      Проверь всё. Может быть пружина тоже или плавающий сайлентблок (У меня есть видео про их замену). А рычаги у них обычно долго ходят.
