I do agree. We should not expect any new signing; and that's pretty bad. Slot comes from a league where teams play an average of 40/45 matches per season at the most whereas in the PL + FA and EFL cups + Champions L, Europa L etc teams, not all of course, but top teams are expected to be playing around 60/65 matches throughout the season. That's why we need a longer subs bench. Player such as Ryan, Mo, Robbo, Macca, VVD,, TAA etc.... need a good rest every now and then to recharge their batteries. The last two games, a draw and a lost have given me the feeling that we might be entering a period of lower form, less vivacity and brilliance. I do hope to be wrong though.

You can't expect the academy players, young players, to be the backup for this world class team. They just don't have the level.
