Librarian here! I LOVE THIS @valeriebrown3768!! While all libraries have different allocations of their budget, many have great digital services like Libby, Hoopla, Flipster, and even offer free access to great movies through Kanopy. If for library doesn’t have what you’re looking for, you can always ask if they offer Interlibrary Loans where you can get the item from a library that may be in your system. Again, all libraries are different, but definitely ask! We love helping you find things you need ❤
Would absolutely love some content surrounding your book! A reading of a poem with specific contexts and thoughts about why you wrote something a certain way, authors who inspired you and how their work influences your work, things like that. I yearn to go back to English class ❤
I work in the USAID space and it has been a historically terrible 2 weeks. It has been so horrible and we are starting to layoff team members. I have never felt so discouraged and sad. A lifetime of work, all coming to an end. For what? Thanks for the distraction during this painful chapter.

I like the makeup videos these days. I just want to listen to you be light and silly. Also, am I the only one who applies highlight to my forehead? It seems like no one else does, but I love it.
You're not the only one, I definitely remember seeing Alyssa Ashley doing that years ago. Especially on the brow bone and then just above the brow too.
maybe it's an "olds" thing at this point but that was definitely the technique initially. I still do at least a little bit up there - makes no sense when the rest of your face is shiny and one portion isn't.
Same! More makeup content is a good thing these days!! And no…you’re not alone. I love applying over each eyebrow straight up to my hairline. I see a small amount of other people do this, but I feel like way more do it and don’t tell us they have….or at least it appears that way to me.
Long time viewer-never been a UA-cam commenter but… it’s time. Thank you for your work in the world. I’ve been loving having your poetry book even gifted one to a friend. I too am having climate and etc anxiety iykyk. May all beings be happy and healthy and peaceful. Sending that energy to you through the interweb this AM. Thanks for the article rec. I’ll look into it.
This is the prettiest your face makeup has looked! I know you usually like a different blush but you look glowy, healthy, and the natural color of touched by the sun skin because you were outside gardening
Omg, when you said “I read this great article in the Atlantic,” I thought to myself - the one about how we’ve become antisocial?! - and then you said exactly that!! I got so excited! I read the same article and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Great rec for us all, because the more we all become aware of this problem, the better we can create new norms around socializing.
I always like your videos as soon as they start because I know it was be amazing in so many ways … I have to say I have some really life changing things from you under the pretense of makeup and beauty. You are a gem 💎 and I am grateful that you exist and do what you do 💞
Oh my god I'm dying laughing at the short. Stiff. Sentences. After the brow flop, and the drama it caused ahahahah 🤣 I could watch a makeup video of yours every day and never get tired of it!
The Auric palette looks SO much like the Hourglass Illume Palettes that have been discountinued. I LOVED that palette and repurchased it several times until it went out of stock, and have been looking for something similar.
Sam was obsessed with that palette, then Hourglass discontinued it to reformulate as it was non-vegan formula if i remember correctly, then they never did!
I really hope someone can swatch them together. I'm worried this bronzer shade isn't going to work on me- the hourglass was a bit rosy almost whereas this one seems maybe even a bit more olive?
@ wish Temptalia was still doing her thing at times like this!! bronzer specifically is so tricky! i am very fair and like a rosy bronzer and Hourglass diffused bronze light is my personal favourite (however it is powder, not cream)
Looove all the beauty content, it’s definitely my fave but ultimately I find all your content enjoyable. Make whatever content you want, your interest in your subject matter is what makes it interesting ❤
I’ve been feeling like you’ve been feeling. 😏 I know we’re going to be okay, but it has definitely been difficult to overcome bouts of anxiety. Videos like this definitely help though - so thank you. ❤
A tip for using a brow pen is to go over it with a spoolie once it’s dry. It makes the hair strokes slightly more sheer so it’s more wearable. Strong alternatives for better colour options are Nyx and Glossier 😊
hey Hannah! it's so interesting to see the brow pen you got was almost purple! I picked up the same pen in the same shade a couple of months ago and the one I got is almost a greyish olive green. I was actually worried at first that it would look too unnatural for me to wear. wonder what's going on there lol. anyway you look great as usual, that highlight is really beautiful
Hey, can I distract with some good news of my own please? I have an illness and have been on medication for it for about 7 months and the medicine is finally working, and that means that my hair is growing back 😊😊 and I wasn't hugely annoyed about losing it in all honesty because there are worse things but the fact that it's growing back is a sign things are moving in the right direction 🎉
ah okay maybe there are people conscious of wanting “balance” but i am just happy to see a new video from you, it’s always truly nice to have “hang out time” whilst you play with make up, and genuinely comforting 🩷 (so as others have said, happy for ANY and ALL types of content 🩷)

Love the makeup look you achieved, Hannah! Your glowy skin looks awesome! Also, I totally agree re: The Atlantic. Such a wonderful source of in-depth articles on very timely topics! ❤
You know what I think would turn any and all frowns upside down for you? The Necromancy Cosmetica grayish brown lipsticks! Also, idk if it’s because we live in the same part of the world, but the climate anxiety has been so real for me too. Appreciate you for always bringing your authentic self to the table - you’re very inspiring ❤
Hannah! I found this random Loreal infallible 8hr pro lipgloss on sale in meijer the other day and it made me think of you. We have a very similar taste in makeup and I am olive too but am a bit deeper than you. The color is “Raisin”. A brown/coppery(but not warm) grungey sheer gloss with this ever so slightly green shift that really just looks at home when I wear it. It really stays put for a long time. It does have a “sticky” feeling but i don’t mind it. Highly recommend
Hi Hannah - one of the two people here lol - I also have ...everything anxiety. The past couple of weeks have been hard. I started watching AOC videos, she has a channel. And it has helped. I also came across a video today called "Good News in January" by Sam Bently and it helped. Just a couple of recommendations for anyone out there looking for hope.
COMBINE the blush and bronzer. Sam is a mixer. She loves to mix colors and formulas. If you mix the blush and bronzer, I think you'll get the color you wanted from a blush.
I do decent brows most of the time. I had an appointment where I had to sit across from someone. I was running late. I did the worst brows of my life. I thought well it is what it is. I came home and my husband said " what happened to your eyebrows?" Yep. Take care ❌️ ⭕️
Based on Amanda Z's recommendation, I got the "Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump" in Honeysuckle, and I LOVE it. It's one of those pinky-browny-plummy undefined colours that I love, and it's a click up goo in a stick kind of deal, no sponge. I don't otherwise have a handle on the overall landscape of Tarte Maracuja lip products lol, but that one's great!
This was great. I’m sick this week and feel you with the climate angst since the election and just struggling to keep it all together. This was a bright spot today! Thx
I always appreciate and enjoy getting to see you in this space, in whatever capacity that is for you ♥️ Times are rough for dreamers, that’s for sure. If I can offer one small thing, the song “Hope” by Carsie Blanton has been helping hold me together and might be worth a listen. Lately I've been thinking about hope as something brutal and devasting, a force to be reckoned with, and not something that always has to stem from being happy. I think it’s heartening in a way that hope can bloom from heavy things like sadness, despair, fear, rage - and oh what a force it can be! Crossing my fingers that hope is a seed you, and anyone else reading, can find in the coming days 🌱 we’re gonna need it!

Hi Hannah, I am intrigued by your book. What are you reading these days? I'm trying to get through the Neapolitan Novels👒 Much love from Down Under
Consider this a recommendation from a stranger: I’m not sure of the Neapolitan novels but I just read a stunningly written WWII historical fiction called The Rose Code by Kate Quinn. It’s about 3 women who worked in Bletchley Park breaking German code. Both the friendship dynamics between them and writing style were expertly laid out and engaging. I'd try refy first, it's so good!
