Thanks man! I only know basic programming and was trying hard (and failing!) on creating an agent to do some scheduled reports from a database. Now i know wich way to go
Love this! In your experience how accurate is the data comming from the dynamic queries. A concern i have is silent incorrect responses as in an incorrect query generating an invalid response and the client blindly trusting the data
There’s a slight chance there could be some inaccuracy in the data, but you can put systems in place to ensure to minimise that as much as possible. Also the use case matters a lot. This could be useful for use cases in which this would save lots of time and there’s no big need for the query results to be 100% accurate.
Hi, this is a very interesting video, and I would be glad to try it. But the problem is that you are probably running on a cloud instance of n8n, whereas I want to run a local docker instance. And here the problems begins. I created the bot, and entered the credentials in my first telegram trigger node. The test of the API key worked. But when I want to test the trigger node, it starts waiting for a message, but when I sent one, it is not received by my Node. I started the docker with the start --tunnel option, as I saw on some docs, but still it does not work. So far I did not found any tutorial detailing this connection. maybe you know what is missing.
Hey Frank all my credentials check out, however when I run the test query in telegram I cant get any data to transfer to my sql agent from my postgres data, What am I missing???
Trying it out but the agent cant seem to be able to see my tables. I tried checking authentication and its all good, what can i do? Thought: I should look at the tables in the database to see what I can query. Action: [["list-tables-sql"]] Action Input: "" Observation: [["list-tables-sql"]] is not a valid tool, try another one. Thought:
There seems to be problem, in the tools you have given it. Perhaps in the labelling of such tools int he prompt on the SQL agent? It could be many things; go on my free Discord community and add an image or something there and should be able to help.
Try with Anthropic! Works best for me regarding coding tasks. If you really want to use OpenAI models try using 4o better, more parameters. If anything you can also refine the prompt that’s in the system message for the SQL agent
@franknillard my issue with the agent was it keep trying to use list table query which is not supported by postgres. It's an embedded prompt of sql agent node. Gave up on it and am using tool agent instead.

Amazing, I'm glad i could help in some way :)
wow !! Thanks a lot for the tutorial !!
Glad it was helpful!
Loved it. Keep it up. Very knowledgeable. Request you make similar video for mongodb too where your data source is Mongodb. Waiting for that video ❤
Will consider it, thanks for the suggestion!
Hi beside retrieving and analyzing the data, would also love to watch a video tutorial updating the database with n8n. Thank you for your sharing!
Check my previous videos! There’s one where I go through updating a database!
Love it!
Thanks!!
Nice video !
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome! ❤
Thanks man 🫶

Would the sql agent work with airtable?
Not entirely sure if AirTable can be searched with SQL? It’s best that you check that out online or in the docs :)
excellente video, est ce qu'on peut utiliser Whatsapp à la place de Telegram ? Merci
Oui, vouz pouvez utiliser WhatsApp. J’ai une autre vídeo a ce sujet, sortez-la :)

I am having the same issue

Did you try the sgl agent with openai model? Tried with 4o mini and for some reason the agent never works. Kept throwing errors
