    Hi Dave!!😀😀
I'm a old disabled logger from central Wisconsin.
I just love watching you making firewood. You remind me a lot of myself when I was young.
I really like learning about how the firewood business works in your part of the country.
Most of these guys that criticize you haven't cut enough timber to fill a cat's butt hole. Because any good wood cutter should be having a open mind about learning new things. I'm disabled now and not able to implement anything new I learn. But I'm still interested in learning.
    Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚

Hi, 72 years old, broke my lower back L4 vertebrae 30 years ago. 15 years ago my bull headed logging horse grabbed my neck and broke the C 5 vertebrae. In 2011 I had a heart attack. I am still cutting, splitting and selling firewood. Work smart, work steady and be careful....love your channel Gary in Michigan !

      Hello, Gary
I have read your letter, you are well done!
I really wanted to answer. I am 67 years old and have no cartilage between my two lumbar vertebrae. However, I also cut down dry tree trunks in the forest, carry these trunks of 12-15 foot of length into the yard, saw them, and chop them for firewood.
Every day in summer and winter I walk of 5-10 miles through the forest. It supports my back and joints in good condition, as well as my heart.I advise you to do the same. I wish you a long and healthy life!

Enjoy your outdoor chainsawing fuel wood videos. You have developed excellent technigues in cutting and loading. Only those experienced will see the ease of your knowledge while working in the bush on rough ground. We burn wood as a primary heat source for our house way up here in Ontario. Enjoy those late autumn days with snow falling while cutting fuel wood for the following year. Seeing deer and turkeys provides an extra bonus to the day. Wishing you and your family all the best and good health. Bill.

David, you should listen to what your body is telling you. I don’t know how old you are but I bet you want to do this for another 35-40 years. It is time to plan on work that won’t tear up your body. That will let you continue to enjoy the things you love to do for a lot longer. At 63 years old I have 1 knee replacement and the other one need to be replaced. This leaves me with little prospects to continue working at the things I love.

As far the stories go; just you keep right on telling them David, because it’s some of the most honest and entertaining I’ve heard.
And you’re right about the permit/stealing part. Why WOULD anyone put that kind of stuff up on utube? Answer: because some folks are just THAT STUPID! I’ve seen many people doing many stupid things and getting busted over $20.00 all the time. Living life honestly is an equivalent to making more money because you’re not constantly looking over your shoulder or worrying about have I done this or that; a man can go into with his head held high and his chest puffed out and NO ONE can take him down! If he does it the WRONG WAY then he can never be proud, never holding his head up, never having his chest puffed out! That’s the difference. 👍

Great video! Question for ya relates to hunting.
Are you subject to the state commission laws if they end up eliminating bear and cougar hunting in Washington state or will the tribe be able to hunt them still?
The assault on hunting in this state has gotten out of control. I plan on attending the session in Olympia on October 27 to help ensure that hunters are represented and let them know we won’t back down. Wish they held east side meetings so those of us over here didn’t need to travel as far but I’m sure that’s by design. Also they held the meeting in the middle of black tail season for the west side guys. Hope you have a great season!
