The sample of UAE sold me on this one, and I don't regret buying a bottle in the slightest. The same can also be said for The Sultanate of Oman, although that one took me on a ride starting with a 'firm dislike' which eventually turned into an 'absolutely love'. It really managed to get its hooks in me! I'd love to hear your opinion on that one as well, some day!
@@lonewolf5969 Despite any note similarities, they are completely different and unique olfactory experiences to me. UAE is an in-your-face, gorgeous, dry rose. In SoE, the rose really takes a back seat to a sweeter, raspberry opening. There is an animalic funkiness at the start, and this is what initially turned me off when I first smelled it. As my nose got more experience over time, it became a scent profile which I really like. UAE - really heavy on the rose, SoE - more oud with an incense accord.
Aaron you have to try Diaghilev by Roja. Chris from Frag Mental owns it, so you might have a chance to experience it. It is super stunning, complex and vintage.

The "I love spending money" is the target demographic for this range. Roja does have "regular niche" fragrances around the $300 mark (i.e. parfum cologne range), but they're all basically freshened up versions of his typical extrait lines.
@@blankmandastankman I mean, his work is on the upper-end of the price range for most, but it's not like we're talking about a lot of money here. Most spend more money on a monthly car payment, or a couple nice dinners out with a spouse. These bottle last YEARS so I don't understand the complaints. I just went skiing in Utah, a daily lift ticket is equal in price to one of these bottles, lol.

I had a feeling you wouldn’t like this one…lol. I agree this is definitely for a specific audience/market - not mass appeal at all. Almost in the same line as Oud Satin Mood, but UAE is just a straight Rose/Oud with frankincense, leather and musk.

When you say plasticy , I purchased rasasi oud al mubakar, the opening is plasticy , but when it dries down its a bit of a slight floral tom ford oud wood, but for £15 for 100ml is literally insane. I literally cannot justify nearly £500 for smelling nice, rasasi perfume is obviously middle Eastern and is priced extremely well tbh. No disrespect to roja he obviously is being ripped off by business rates and more taxes but the customer shouldn't be.
Aaron could you please do a review on rasasi jasmine wisp please, I've already got my friend John to order 2 75ml bottles, one will be for my lady,(we live in sin), the other is for my friends wife from the punjab. Its slightly more expensive but I would love to hear your honest opinion on this please.
Thanks for this Aaron. When you get around to it, I’m sure that so many are waiting in anticipation to hear your opinion of Roja’s Elysium. I personally love Rojas overall flair for the dramatic and emotional approach to perfumery. I’m very curious if Elysium contains real ambergris.
Fruity notes are tricky and sometimes very gross to me when used the wrong way. Many designer frags are stomach turning because of those screechy synthetic fruit notes. Yikes...
interesting, cause Roja states he uses more than 80 percent naturals, and u stated alot of musks , ambroxan etc. so , i am not questioning either your statements or Rojas, but certainly there is the truth, and what is whats inside the compound? only the perfumer knows, hope its what it states... ;)
RP has somehow got away with extortionate prices for what they sell. There is no rich history to the brand, they just came out of nowhere because of money and the blends I’ve tried have all been a bit crass, not for me but a beautiful review nonetheless!
For two reasons. So many customers complained about the cost it ended up making me depressed I tried to do my best and I actually made a loss as Fedex changed me more to take dangerous goods. Fedex are really poor with customer service and impossible to get hold of when we had a customer enquiry. Many thanks for your time.

Rolls royce may be much more expensive than say a ford fiesta but do they both do exactly the same thing? Yes. Roja sells the idea of luxury rather than phenomenal fragrances, no fragrance is worth over £300 in my opinion, ive tried quite a few roja fragrances and wasn't impressed ive got fragrances that cost a lot less that smell and perform better, fair play to him there's always plenty of mugs with more money than sense who will buy his stuff

What do you like between the two? They seem pretty similar notes. What’s more rose/oud/saffron between the two?

The main line and their PC counterparts are basically almost 100 percent the same. 90-95 percent the same in the air.
