The "Rules" is like whole new genre of creepypasta now. This one was unique in most ways to the others. In other ones the protagonist and the viewers get the rules at the start, obviously the protagonist doesn't believe the rules at first, then instantly gets the easiest one and realizes that the rules are real. Protagonist tries to follow them, but fails and is saved by plot armor.
In this one we can feel the struggle, as we also feel as we were with him all the time because we discover rules as the story goes on and the story quickly follows up. Most "rules" stories goes like this:
Rule 1, rule 2, rule 3 and rule 4, the story is a mix of all the rules.
This one goes like: Rule 1 Story 1, rule 2 story 2 , rule 3 story mix of 1+3. A nice change of pace
i have gotten pretty bored of the stories that just go:
rule 1, rule 2, rule 3, story, in story person violates rule 4, person looks on back of sheet, rule 4, cliffhanger ending.
Yeah, I never understood the "typical" formula. This way makes sense to me and follows proper story setup, structure, and plot development. As a result, it's not awkward, I don't forget the weird made-up rules for a weird made-up world, and it just flows. This story was excellent, and I'll be following the author. Also, great narration and voice-acting!
Yes this was a fresh breath of air!!
@@jacquelinehoward5445Good thing it's just a story, I would hate if this were true... scary. Still leave's me wanting to know more about these 'entities' and the world they're set in... like, what's up with this theater? Is this the ghost of a theater serial killer or something far worse? I want more. Sequals, prequals, tales from the other side of the entities themselves and their pupose.
I think the best “rules” story is the one about the man in the basement that moves a step every week. It definitely surprised me and wasnt the typical rules story.
Rule #12 would be broken immediately because I would have burnt a hole in the carpet booking it to the nearest exit.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
David breaking rule 12 killed the entity within room 3.
David used the book to bind some sort of group of entities to him, and used them to act as an extra life force of some kind. He used them to prolong his life just long enough to drink the liquid from the Lady's Goblet, to get the needed information to contain the rest of the entities in his stead. Turning on all the projectors started room 3's effects obviously.

Whoever wrote this creepypasta is immensely skilled. It could easily be extended into a full horror novella but would work even better as a horror mini series for the likes of shudder. Amazing stuff. I sincerely hope the author is pursuing a career in horror.

5. If everyone in a room stares at you in a theatre without blinking, leave room and notify manager immediately.
6. If a customer hears a noise in the vents, take the box in the garbage room, open it and place it in the middle of the vents. Leave immediately.
7. If you notice shadows being out of sync with your surroundings, return to the last room you’ve been to. Alone. Close the door and open it.

@@YUN6_V3NUZ how is it irrelevant to make an accurate reference that is correlated to the storyline?
@Aleksa Kole I’m, like, 99.99999999998% sure bill is an asexual-
@Aleksa Kole ew, youtube isn't the place for this. Idc what you do or what your into just don't do it here

Freedom of speech.
That 'there must always be a manager' bit was pretty obvious. Will there be a sequel to this to explain everything??
You've become one of my favorite narrators Lighthouse. Please keep making your videos man! Most other Creepy Pasta channels I only use to fall asleep but with yours I enjoy hearing even during my waking hours.
Damn, dude really hit him with the "may I speak to your manager" and it had deadly consequences.
These daily uploads are getting me through this lockdown quite nicely thank you Lighthouse
Yes me too ! Such a live saver....or sanity keeper.....
It took me quite a few minutes to figure out that you didn't experience this, as this is the first video I've seen of yours but you're just so good at reading the story, I love it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ahh, I wish someone would make this in to a TV-show series! I honestly feel all the tension and weird looking stuff would work amazingly well as visual story, too. Loved it!
I got this recommended after watching countless "Karen" stories from Reddit on YT... Never would I've thought "I wish to speak to the manager" could turn into a real sentence in a horror story, lol
Absolutely phenomenal storytelling!
You're an amazing narrator. The way you switch between voices for the characters is superb. I'm a big fan good job!
Wow, thank you Justin! Thanks for the support and encouragement!
I really enjoy the "rule/list of rules" creepypastas that have more story behind them rather than just listing off the "rules". Great conviction with your narrating! I'm prolly gonna be binging listening to your stuff, now. :')
Hey thank you Smol and welcome to the channel!
This is probably the best “rules” story I’ve heard, and your narration is absolutely top notch! I’ve listened to it at least 10 times and will definitely listen to it again in the future!
This is one of my favorite creepypasta tropes
This has got to be my favorite of yours so far, probably the best creepy pasta readings I’ve ever heard
Rule number 12, There must always be a guardian at the gates of Hell
Muhahahah 🙂
What an eerily hitchcockian tale, masterfully narrated by a fitting voice. 👏👏👏👏 everything about this blends perfectly.
Glad you liked it Navigator!
In 4 years, I've only liked about 5 creepypasta narrirator's voices and this video's on par with them.
I'll check your other stuff out, too!
I appreciate that Brandon! Welcome to the channel!

@@andreinita8765 first, MrCreepyPasta the king of comedy, with his 'Tales From The Gas-Station' mega-hit.
Then, I found Natures Temper, who is king of accents and is basically Jesus. Then, I found The Dark Sominum/ Rominex, who is king of music/ effects, is basically NIN's Trent Reznor and his badass girlfriend!
Last is CreepsMcPasta who was actual 2'nd and he's the king of sleep. His monotone brittish voice is ideal for falling asleep to some audio and his stories can get pretty messed up, because he's self described as apathetic.

I'm addicted to this channel.
I started yesterday around midnight, and I'm loving it.
I listen to sleep with my earpiece on as well.
This is the best paranormal story I've ever heard. Pls narrate more rules stories like this one !!
I'm usually not a fan of the "rules" vids, but this was good. David needs to call the Ghostbusters!
That was absolutely incredible from the story to the delivery, I was petrified in my bed the whole time but simply too hooked to stop ! Thank you sir
I wasn't into the last two stories, but this is exactly the kind of story I come here for. Compelling from beginning to end. Didn't even realize it was an hour long, and when it was over it felt like mere minutes passed. Need more stories like this.
Imagine wanting to piss while watching a movie in room 3.
You leave and the workers look terrified and don't let you go back to finish the movie lmao.
start laughing happily at the torture scene to establish dominance to the demon thing
