Rebbe had the potential to become the Meshiach; but Klal Yisrael did not merit the redemption in his generation. His soul is still a light to all of Klal Yisrael

I tell people on this subject, when I hear my evil inclination whispering to me, I tell it I'm hard of hearing, and if it wants to talk to me it has to speak to my good inclination. That usually shuts it up for a while! Ha Ha

The Rebbe didn't stop in the middle of his talk. He spoke more, but this is an excerpt, as are most of the videos presented here.

Nice words from this obviously saintly man.
But is it not better to be vegetarian as Genesis prescribes.
we need not cause harm to animals and make our bodies the graveyard of animals.
Though the sharp knife in the hands of a skilled butcher I'd designed to dispatch the poor animal painlessly the animal us nonetheless killed in this needless, gruesome, and violent act.

There was a time in history when we where not allowed to eat meat but everything turned around when in the times of Noah people had relationships with animals. Now it's a commandment to eat an animal, it uplifts animals soul and fulfill the mission of an animal.

It's not gruesome and violent, they cut an artera that makes the animal go unconscious painlessly and instantly and it gets emptied of its blood, plus the animals aren't put under stress like they would usually be when they get killed by non-Jewish butchers

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve weren't mean to eat animals, but that changed after the flood as the previous person said and since then, the animals eat other animals and we eat (and sacrificed when there was a Temple) animals to elevate them, it's their purpose and our purpose in this world

It is not a commandment to 'eat an animal'.
It is permission to eat meat from an animal.
When human beings were created, they were, originally, not permitted to eat animal flesh. They were not permitted to take the life of an animal and eat its flesh. They were only permitted to eat vegetation. (See Genesis 1:29)
Before the great flood, humanity fell to a low level, often behaving according to instincts as animals do.
After the flood, human beings were given permission to eat meat, on condition of not eating the limb of a living animal. It is forbidden to eat the limb of a living animal. This prohibition is one of the seven basic laws for all mankind.

Why were people now allowed to eat meat?
Among the reasons given is the following: Because humankind had so degraded themselves by following their instincts, they needed a sign and message to continuously teach them that they are (and are supposed to be) on a higher level than an animal. This permission is this message.
Rabbi Avraham Isaac Hakohein Kook, the memory of the righteous be for a blessing, former Chief Rabbi in the Holy Land, explains this and more on this issue. See the following link.
      www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/the-vegetarian-teachings-of-rav-kook

Rabbi Ephraim Lunshitz, author of Kli Yakar, also writes in this vein. Rabbi Yosef Albo also writes in support of vegetarianism. May the memories of these holy people be for a blessing.
Here, some may even say that permission to eat meat helps to scare people into recognizing that they need to be on a higher level than an animal.
There were great rabbis who were vegetarian and there were great rabbis who avoided meat throughout the week only eating a tiny bit of meat on the Sabbath.
