Ah yes. Finally the reviews we needed. I used to cube back in the day (2011-2013) and just got back now in quarantine after I found my old cubes. After a few days I decided I needed to update my old zhanchi, and came to UA-cam for answers only to find mediocre reviews, and really missed your old ones. I’m quite thankful that you’re back. After watching the video, I think the 356 M might just be the update I need. Cheers!

I find it funny, I also have that same hoodie 😆 and even though I started cubing in 2008 I never got an original plastic dayan zhanchi but it's good to know that there is a really nice quality to that cube because I want to recommend more Gan Cubes it's just a little too spendy to try them all out. Thanks for the review and I'm happy to see that you're back doing reviews.

Solution to the sticker aesthetics problem:
Take a black spray paint can and stickers of your choice that fit the cube.
Paint the whole outside black and apply the stickers once the paint is dry.
(optional) Apply a GANCube logo.
I've been a few for a while now (started in ~2012). I quit cubing seriously around 3 years later but still solved a little every once in a while, then starting solving a little more since quarantine hit. You're the only UA-cam channel I've kept on watching even while I wasn't into cubing anymore. The quality of your videos and your personality make for truly outstanding videos. Hope you keep up the incredible work and stay safe and healthy! Can't wait to see what the future brings you Dr. Cyoubx ;).
I really liked this vid because I have been cubing for around a year now and I want to start to compete but I can't because my cube has carbon fiber stickers and this review was very helpful and I might look into getting 1 of these... thank u for the great review

I actually had planned to get the 356M before after watching Tingman's video on it, but due to a lack of funds, I backed out on getting it, in order to prioritize getting other cubes.
However, this review was actually really nice, objectively speaking, and helped cover a lot on this cube, so if ever I had one, it'd now be prolly a shot.
Love this too btw ♥️

Getting back into cubing after a couple years off and my god cubes have come so far lol I remember when $20 was super expensive for a cube. Just got myself a new budget cube; it's my first magnet cube and I'm blown away already. Can't even imagine what a high end cube nowadays would feel like!

Speaking of old plastic zhanchi that was my main 3x3 until a month ago switching to the wrm ( i kinda got out of cubing from 2015-now and didn't get any cubes since) cubes have improved so much since then.
i love watching your solves bc you arent insanely fast like feliks, tymon, leo, max, (not trying to roast you), but you arent slow like me. Me being only sub20 i feel i can learn a lot from your solves.

Good question! I think it's at least on par with other flagships. For what it's worth, I've been using the 356 M waaay more than any other cube just because I like it so much.

I miss my Zhanchi, I gave it to a cousin several years ago. I'm sure they got use out of it, but I kinda wish I still had it for the nostalgia.
I'm honestly not the biggest fan of new gan cubes. They all feel gimmicky like I'm paying for the add ons and not the performance. The 356m is refreshing, though. I'll definitely check it out.
