@@carlossiu888 dude Brady Quinn quite literally says they gave Marcus freeman more resources than Brian Kelly ever had.. get your head out of your ass and admit yall dropped the ball
@@cheetahturner4576 no one is saying Marcus freeman isn’t a good coach.. I like the guy but the facts are bk left because of two reasons.. he wasn’t getting the support that Brady Quinn is talking about (resources) and lsu offered him a 100 million dollars
Sometimes a cold reality slap in the face is required. Freeman inherited a good program BK left behind. Now BK is rebuilding a team that basically was burnt to the ground. Big difference.
It was a program that had basically abandoned recruiting at QB and WR and could not get the offense together to beat Cincinnati at home w CFP bid on the line in his final season.
Kelly didn’t have the resources as he claims because he didn’t like having former players and friends off the program around. He wanted to be the end all be all. When NIL really ramped up, he realized he would need those exact relationships he soured on to help fund a collective which he knew wasn’t going to happen at ND. Too many bridges were burnt. He came to LSU because he thought he would have an easy time recruiting ( have his assistants do all the work while he golfs) and a huge NIL war chest already built in. That’s why this time around he hasn’t pushed former players away because he knows he needs their relationships and financial support for NIL. It’s all very calculated. Kelly is a master politician. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
@seanmichael4788 He Is A Helluva Coach Too.He Could Have Won It All Last Year With Jayden Daniel's If He Would Have Had A Defensive Coordinator. He Will Win It All Very Soon .Indiana Ain't Got No Talent.Louisiana Is LOOOOOOOOADED.
Well, my interpretation is that he was giving BK a backhanded compliment. His departure prompted a change to fill a perceived void of resources necessary to win a championship. The other issue is here at LSU BK has all of those resources, yet he's lost three straight season openers and has not even sniffed a championship.
It doesn't take a rocket science major to realize that Coach Kelly leaving ND, caused their fanbase & school administration to reevaluate their priorities and step up to the plate with their pocketbooks and other forms of support. Likely would have never happened if BK would have remained @ ND.
BK was complaining about having a nutrition facility for the players as ND was one of the the few schools where the players ate with the student body. He was promised by the previous AD Swarbuck that those would be built in a couple years in which they were. That was BKs major complaint about resources. It’s obvious to any person who know Notre Dame that they would be benefiting from NIL which wasn’t a thing during BKs time at ND.
You guys will honestly come up with anything to justify this hire Lmao. In 2 years come back to this comment because the entire discussion will be about Kelly’s buyout.
No, Matt, Brian Kelly left for LSU for MORE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. The supposed "lack of resources" was merely a slimy excuse to deflect attention from the real reason he left: chasing $$$$$$$$. That's fine to be a money grubber (it's not like he lived an impoverished life with ND's salary and benefits, even if ND doesn't pay "SEC money"), but just be honest enough to admit it instread of trying to pretend $$$ wasn't the prime motivation.
As an Irish fan I was happy Kelly left. Not questioning why he left and don't care. Happy with Freeman so far and happy for the future. All good for both sides as far as I'm concerned.
Here's the deal. Everybody better get with NIL or be left behind. Some schools, tOSU, Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon got out in front of this thing and embraced it. LSU, Oklahoma, Bama, UGA, Florida did not and are playing catchup. They thought their NAME would carry them. Well, now we know. We'll see where ND stands in 5 years once all schools have got their act together.
@@CAROLINA_BULLDOGZwhy are you asking these questions 😂😂😂 speculating about another school and program you literally knew nothing about prior to 2021. All because you want to provide some really weird justification for hiring this dude.
@@tomas746 Sir just because I’m a fan of a certain team doesn’t mean I don’t know anything about other schools… I only care about college football… and as far as Kelly I’m happy with the hire our offense has finally come into the modern era of football… and the defense will catch up… we’re LSU we will definitely work out out defensive deficiencies… looks like yall are the same Notre Dame can get to the big dance but still get pushed around 😂😂😂😂
LSU fans fail to realize that the landscape of college football has changed and the dynamics that made winning at LSU very likely are no longer very strong.
@tomas746 They Are Stronger Than Ever Because Nick Saban Ain't At Alabama Any More .LSU Will Be Liaded Again Next Year.Playoffs For Sure .Then We Got The Next Super 5 Star QB 10 Miles Right Down the Road.
@tomas746 Saban Quit Because He Was Filthy Rich And Dominated The Game With Nothing Else To Proove. Plus His Ex Coach At Georgia Knew How To Pay The Players Too .
If you really think about it, Brady has said that Brian Kelly did MORE with less getting to a natty and in a more difficult situation not having a 12 team playoff. In a different way he has said that ND needed more help to do what BK did without him. That’s actually a laughable compliment to BK.
Kelly got ND to a national championship but didn't win it. Freeman has ND playing for a national championship. He won't win it. Freeman took over an 11-1 team with a full allotment of scholarships. Kelly took over a 6-7 team with 39 scholarship players. Freeman has advantages Kelly didn't have, including the NIL money for their starting QB in the transfer portal. Kelly made ND relevant again and gave them ten win seasons when they were begging for a bowl game. But ND fans can't be happy with that. They can't be happy with their curent coach and where he has them now. No. They have to make sure everyone knows how much they despise Brian Kelly for leaving without winning it all. Worse case of spurned lover syndrome I've ever seen.
Kelly got there by navigating an easy schedule. Go back and you will see that schedule was not challenging at all. Michigan was down, USC was down, and OU was good not great. Marcus Freeman got to this game by winning 3 games and beating Georgia & Penn State in Major Bowl games. Tell me how many Major Bowls did Kelly win in his 12 years at ND? I’ll wait…
@@stephenmauriellomortgage I answered in my original comments. Spurned lover syndrome. Got to make sure everyone knows Kelly wasn't up to your standards anyway.
@stephenmauriellomortgage That is literally the dumbest comment of the day. Obviously, you have not looked at Notre Dame's schedule this year. 5A high school teams in Texas play a tougher schedule than ND did this year.
@@stephenmauriellomortgage freeman GOT to PLAYOFFs by playing an easy schedule. Any top 10 regular season wins? Top 15? Seems like irish roster is taking a hit because of having to play THREE tough games in a row.
Dude just admit Kelly is not it for ya'll. Kelly getting blown out & not winning any big games has nothing to do with facilities and resources. He has more of both at LSU yet still cant win. So that proves the point.
Quite literally wasn't talking about nil. Brady did the nil in response to Kelly talking about resources and Kelly specifically talked about facilities and training regimen and food and stuff like that. Nil started the same year Brian Kelly left. No schools had the parameters built out yet for these types of collectives by the time he left. Brady Quinn founded his collective a year after Brian left when the collectives really started for most schools. You're acting like Notre Dame alumni didn't support Brian Kelly for over 10 years and that's a lie. They supported him to the point that they obfuscated when he had fault in student assistants falling off of scissor lifts because of bad conditions and him being the one who should have told them they didn't need to be there. He didn't leave because of nil. They already had the money to build the facilities Kelly wanted but it wasn't quick enough for him so he left and LSU threw a pile of money at him. He said what he said to try to justify it. Because never in his 10+ years there did he ever own his decisions. Brady Quinn talked about the resources between the 2012 team and now and there was no nil in 2012 you absolute pineapple
ND alumn here, if BK didn’t have resources it’s because he refused to tap into them. We may not have an endowment like Stanford, but, I’m telling you ND’s alumn’s have pockets who are cavernously deep. Had Kelly been just a little more approachable and leaned on former players like Brady Quin, Chris Zorich, and Tim Brown or even graduates from the Mendoza School of Business BK would’ve had an over abundance of resources.
You sound like a hater. Brian Kelly left because he was not getting SEC type of recruits. LSU give Kelly everything and they still losing. He is an average coach!!
This is so revealing. Glad you shared it Matt. Brady clearly confirmed that all of the reasons CBK left ND were valid reasons and that things changed “Because” he left and lit a fire under their butts.
@rkloete NOTRE LAME Is FAKE .They Beat An Another FAKE Indiana team ,They Beat A Georgia Team who Didn't Have Their Quarter Back. They Played And Beat A Penn Team That Gave The Game To Them. Now The OHIO ST Will Tell Yall. WAKE UP CINDERELLA, ITS MID NIGHT.
Literally nothing said is true. That's not what Quinn was saying. In context, Quinn was pissed at BK and was pissed that BK used the school as an excuse. The truth is ND built him a stadium, hired more staff, built him an indoor practice facility, added a training table, and invested in assistant salaries. If you want to say the Notre Dame of the '90s and early 2000s didn't invest in the program I would agree with you. But $1 billion with a B was invested or committed to over BKs 12 years in salaries, facilities, planes (they bought BK the use of a private plane for recruiting). So no his reasons are not valid and it's a false narrative being continued out of context.
You're right about Kelly's statement about him leaving. But you're wrong about it was always Notre Dame. Brian Kelly has something that lacks enthusiasm and it shows during gameplay It shows when he's on the sideline It shows in big games It shows in the first three career starts of his LSU career with the loss every season. Which reflects to him never finishing in Notre Dame. I'll say it once I'll say it a thousand times He can win the national championship next year or the year after and I'm still not going to be a Brian Kelly fan. I probably won't talk much shit but I'm just going to go about my day and love my tigers and wait for the next real SEC coach. The coach the tigers need and deserve. Yes Kelly brought some structure but he left everything that makes a great coach in the SEC a great coach like a Nick Saban or a Kirby Smart. He left that fire He don't have that dog in them and LSU needs a coach that has that dog in them. When he loses and he's frustrated he has no grace. He don't have that it factor. He never had it Notre Dame he'll never have it at LSU he'll either pull up a national championship and it only be one and he'll get fired afterwards or it's never going to happen just like it didn't happen at Norte Dame which is the most like to play out. He seems like he's only the type of coach that can be good if he surrounds himself with other good coaches. And we're never going to get there as a program with a coach like that. He's a delegator and he's a great delegator and he's a great family man but he's not good SEC football coach. PEROT! NOW GO PROVE ME WRONG IN 2025
This ND fan has not forgotten about the Charlie Weis days. That’s why I will always credit Brian Kelly for pulling the ND program out of the trash heap.
Have Bryan Driskell on again to explain. Kelly deserves credit for making ND up its game over his tenure. He forced the admin to invest and commit to being good again. He left right around the time that NIL was about to go mainstream and so Freeman gets credit for expanding staff, taking recruiting to a higher level and managing ND in this new era. Both things can be true. Kelly wasn’t a likable guy and made too many politician excuses. But he did elevate ND’s program by fighting the admin to modernize and spend. He wasn’t the vessel ND and its rich alumni were going to invest in during this new era. Freeman is that guy for this new era.
Oh and BK burned bridges while at ND. He brought a terrible attitude with him behind closed doors. If you're not gonna show up to donor events then why would donors support you????? Bro you're leaving so much content out that's it's beyond embarrassing. Like, get over the fact that we don't like our Ex-girlfriend (BK) who is now your gf. Like, get over it, OWN it and live with it.
The sport facility was already in the making long before Marcus Freeman showed up. Dude just stick with LSU football. You're just not that good at this
@@brianjirishand a whining sour ND fan on an LSU fan page makes you look like a scorned ex girlfriend that can’t get over the fact that someone left you because you weren’t good enough. You still haven’t won that Natty and we’ll see you in a week still crying because you still haven’t won a Natty.
I know both sides will argue why Brian Kelly is a good or bad football coach, but major college football has changed drastically the last couple of years given the competitiveness of the power conferences, the emergence of NIL deals, the impact of the transfer portal, the expanded playoff system, etc. I'm sure that when BK made the decision to leave Notre Dame for LSU the move at that time seemed like a more straight line for him to win a national championship not realizing how the realignment of the SEC and Big Ten conferences plus other factors would come into play. Texas & Oklahoma to the SEC not only will affect recruiting and retaining good players, but result in the top SEC teams beating each other up all season long just to make them weaker against other conferences due to injuries during important post season games. That's why Nick Saban decided to retire rather than have to deal with all the new changes. BK is just going to have to learn to adjust to this new and very different college football than he is use to!
I don’t understand why people are always highlighting ND’s location as if it’s some huge obstacle to recruiting. It’s 2 hrs to Chicago, 3 on the train, and like most universities it’s like a town onto itself. I have literally never met anyone who just spontaneously told me “I would love to move to Louisiana.”
Matt Moscana you are 100% WRONG when you say that if we were in a 4-team playoff system stimm ND would not be in the playoff and would be "sitting at home like the rest of us." If there were a 4-team playoff, these are the teams that would have been in it: 13-0 Oregon (#1 seed), 11-2 Georgia (probably the #2 seed because they were the SEC Champ even though they had 2 losses at the time), Notre Dame (#3 seed at 11-1 at that time), and the #4 seed would have been either: a) Mountain West Champ 12-1 Boise State -- their only loss at playoff selection time was by a last-second field goal AT #1 seed (and still unbeaten as of selection time) 13-0 Oregon -- [this would have been the fairest, best outcome]; b) then-11-2 Penn State -- who had just lost the BIG Ten Championship game and who had a substantially LESS IMPRESSIVE Overtime Field Goal "win" over common opponant USC in the LA Colisuem than Notre Dame's MORE IMPRESSIVE 2-touchdown win over USC (IN REGULATION) also out at the LA Colisuem ... and when an injury-riddled ND team played USC at the end of the season, USC was playing much better with a different QB than they used against PSU earlier in the year); c) then-11-2 Texas -- who had just lost the SEC Championship game by losing to Georgia for the second time this season; OR d) then-11-1 Indiana -- who was crushed by Ohio State (the same 10-2 Ohio State team at playoff selection time that had just lost at home to a BAD Michigan team in the final game of the season). So stop the BS nonsense that Notre Dame somehow wouldn't have made the 4-team playoff this year if that was still the playoff system. ND most certainly would have made the playoff and would be no lower than the #3 seed. Moreover, ND would still also have advanced to the National Championship Game just as it has anyway under the 12-team playoff format because #3 seed ND would have still defeated #2 seed Georgia. The irony is that it would NOT have been Notre Dame that missed a 4-team playoff if that was still this year's playoff format, but rather it would have instead been Ohio State -- the team with the most talent and the heavy favorite for Monday's National Championship game -- who would have missed the 4-team playoff format!!! Why? Not only because of Ohio State's lesser 10-2 record at the time of playoff selection, but moreso because of Ohio State's humiliating, massively underachieving, season-ending home loss to a CRAPPY Michigan team ... which also cost OSU an opportunity to have a re-match with Oregon in the BIG Ten title game). If you're happy at LSU with egotistical Brian Kelly (who loves to throw players under the bus), and you want to defend him and absolve him of his own failures and shortcomings by asserting that "he was right" in claiming that then-lack of competitive resources at ND supposedly held him back from contending for a national championship, fine ... knock yourself out with that delusion. Yet it begs this critical Q: now that BK supposedly has had every resource imaginable at his fingertips for the past 3 seasons at LSU, WHY has he still failed to contend for a national championship (let alone the SEC title), and why does LSU fail to impress? Don't get me wrong: Kelly IS a "good" and highly competent coach ... but he's NOT the "elite" coach that he thinks he is. In fairness, he probably still would have lost the 2012 National Championship game to Nick Saban because of the advantage of overwhelmingly superior team talent. Alabama had the absolute best under-the-table/secretly paid-for talent that school and booster money could buy during the pre-NIL days; but even with "even" on-field talent, Saban would have still out-coached Kelly by far. Kelly didn't even care enough about the title game to give it his full and undivided attention, as in the days preceding the title game, Kelly was secretly negotiating interview dates with the NFL Philadelphia Eagles for their open head coaching position !!!! All I'm saying is that it's a nasty, lazy, cop-out for BK to "blame" the supposed lack of ND university resources for his inability to have won a National Championship at ND.
For what, he lied to you. ND invested so much into BK. They got the dude a private plane to use for recruiting. They built him a stadium. They built him an indoor practice facility. They paid more for assistants and hired additional staff. It's a lie the BK defenders a feeding you to protect their access.
As a Notre Dame fan I've never had any hate or disdain for the LSU Tigers. I don't get the fans that do. I also don't get the hate or disdain from Tiger fans towards ND....I actually root for LSU more than any other SEC team just because I like their jerseys. Eh, but I guess human nature wants to have us all at each other's throats. Anyway, GO IRISH, GEAUX TIGERS.
@@JabbyMayoCD I don't know why Notre Dame fans got mad. Like, It was OBVIOUS that Kelly couldn't get it done at Notre Dame. He got us back to relevance and 2 playoffs and a title game that we got crushed in....but considering where we were before him he got us back on track. I'll always respect him for that. Sometimes coaches can't quite get over the hump some places. For Kelly, that was Notre Dame. I don't wish him any ill will. Certainly don't wish LSU ill will. I'm super happy we have Marcus Freeman though. I'd run through a wall for that guy.
ND has gotten no further than Brian Kelly got them. College football is so mediocre without Saban. Saban in January 2013 would destroy either of the teams in this year’s championship game.
@@Nathan-Main He got them to the CFP final, never won a playoff game with BK. Making it to this game is more difficult than the BCS era. Also under MF the team plays better in big games they have a different energy now. It’s because the players genuinely love coach freeman, they play harder for him. he develops real relationships with his players and is always present all year round. Bk brought ND to the 21st century in football but he is more of a CEO and doesn’t invest a ton of time into building relationships with his players. Also it felt at times he coached not to lose. My general feeling when he was at ND was he could come across as disingenuous and abrasive at times. From the time he did his first interview after becoming DC at ND I was hoping Freeman would be the next head coach.(thought bk would retire soon) He seems genuine, smart and really bonds with his team. Embraces the challenges and traditions and university as a whole. He went from a graduate assistant to head coach of one of the biggest college football brands in 11 years and 2 of those 11 he was regarded as one of the best DC in college. I hope the post NIU loss is a sign of what to expect moving forward and they get more consistent. All this team is missing right now is a game-breaking WR they have everything else.
Brian Kelly making the remark that he basically couldn't win a title at ND was goofy. Yes, all the teams with the biggest NIL's are winning. Brian Kelly and ND were like a lot of us in that we were slow to react to NIL. That was the only fault of Kelly and ND but ND can win a national title. Don't forget, Brian Kelly got ND to a national game. That's all Freeman has done so far. If ND gets run what will Brady say.
He will say that BK got them to a natty during BCS. That he never won a major bowl game, never won a playoff game, and didn’t have to beat 3 top 10 teams consecutively to get to the ship. Why do y’all say things like this? You know you aren’t being honest lol
Big Kelly fan when he was at Grand Valley state.. then at Cincinnati. I'm an Irish fan as long as i can remember and was happy when he replaced Weis. BK's time at ND was a success as far as wins but he just couldn't win the big games and his voice was lost on the team his last few years.
Lmao 😅😅 Objectively... It seems you're trying to obfuscate for BK'S performance at LSU by engaging in some fight about his performance at ND.. THREE YEARS and he hasn't won Anything, except a WASTED Heisman because he couldn't get a competent defense to go with THREE AMAZING offensive players and an offense to rival the best ever (2019).. He'd BETTER make the SEMIFINALS this year or this is a complete failure.. 💯
We promise them a prestigious degree and a network that will serve them for life apart from football. We also sell 6th most active NFL players, top 3 most pro bowl players.
ND fans are real quick to forget where that program was the decade before Brian Kelly got there. To this point Freeman had accomplished nothing BK hasn’t when he was there. Congrats on reaching a championship game in year 3… the same thing as BK
Ok then..... So now BK has the resources at LSU ....its been 3 years with top talent available in the LSU backyard so...... Why hasn't he won a ship with LSU yet? He said he wanted to coach the best so 3 years later, what are the results?
This is all about Kelly not winning any big games, Freeman has already won big games that Kelly would of lost. If ND loses so what it's not the same because half the team is hurt. All you have to do is look at where your team is, both coaches have had the same amount of time. LSU had way better recruiting classes than ND. So what is your excuse
He started a collective to bring.in NIL money. Its safe to say NIL has leveled the playing field for thise teams that havent been paying players for decades. SEC should come to grips with that fact when he asks why havent you been doing that for the last.20 years. Because it wasnt legal then but just a given at the football factories.
BECAUSE NIL BECAME LEGAL IN 2021 MATT. BK NEVER WON A SEMI BK NEVER BEAT AN SEC CHAMP BK NEVER WON A NY6 BOWL BK HAS A LOSING RECORD VS TOP 10 TEAMS MARCUS FREEMAN HAS MORE TOP 5 WINS THAN BK DURING HIS WHOLE TENURE
@@carlossiu888 So your claim is winning a home game vs Indiana and beating a Georgia team without their starting QB but it's a feat because it's a NY6 bowl? 😂😂😂
@@wjc9600 Indiana wasn’t NY6, Penn State was. When Stockton went in the SEC championship game they were LOSING. We were missing our starting LT, played our third string DE, missed All American DT, All American CB, Love was hurt and our starting RG went down. A BK team folds in that situation.
@carlossiu888 So you admit you're claiming those games? In the grand scheme, no one cares about whether it's a quarterfinal or semi final or NY6 game. Only ND fans care about that. If they lose against OSU, it will mean even less.

Freeman is better no debate.
Umm yea there was a reason why NIL wasn’t done for the past 20 years at ND lol. It would have caused a scandal bc it was a violation which would have caused sanctions. Notre Dame is one of the richest universities in the country and has a nation wide fan base. They have money and can now spend it on players. It’s a different era in college football now a days compared to when BK was at ND. BK never won a semifinal. Freeman has achieved that this year beating SEC champs. Legit Freeman has more big game victories in less than two weeks than ND had in 30 years let alone during BKs tenure. All Notre Dame fans see the difference in the teams. The biggest difference is depth as well as the secondary under Freeman. They also seem to have more speed on the defensive side. As a Notre Dame fan I find this BK LSU thing as entertaining. ND is better off without him and BK is better off at LSU. Idk if LSU is better off with BK. That’s the entertaining point. I can see him leading LSU to a title but also can see a scenario where the wheels fall off. There is a reason why BK is doing a $1 million match in NIL. Maybe he isn’t getting the resources down in Baton Rogue lmao. Don’t be surprised if this goes badly and BK starts complaining about resources at LSU. On a last thought. ND lost to Ohio State last year 17-14. I would not be shocked if ND covers and this thing is closer than many think.
Also the resources that BK was complaining about the most was a nutritional facility for the players as the players ate with the rest of the student body. That was promised by the previous AD to be built in a couple of years which it was.
NIL wasn't legal when BK was at ND. That wasn't even a thing. Notre Dame gave him everything he ever wanted. New stadium, new facilities, training table, better pay for assistants, and additional support staff. He got it all. Still failed.

When BK left Notre Dame the NIL was 4 months old. Collectives didn't start popping up until August of 2021 and Quinn started one in December of 2021. Also know that at the conclusion of the 2021 season On3 ran whatever analysis they had and said Notre Dame was a top 10 team in terms of players earning NIL, so it's a bald face lie. I don't have to believe anything, I know the facts. I know ND spent millions on Kelly, his staff, facilities, and training tables. And now BK is putting $1M of his own money into the LSU collective. Why would he have to do that? I thought that's why he went to LSU in the first place? The truth is he is setting you up for his next excuse.
This is hilarious. Notre Dame, decided to do what every other college program is doing, which is pay for play. Nobody is going to Notre dame for just going except the high academic kids, which I understand you can get a few elite playes but the really good elite players aren't going to Norte dame unless you pay them to go. Those players are going to Georgia, Ohio state, Texas, and Clemson and Oregon. The elite schools that have the resources and facilities and are NFL factory programs. I'm sorry Notre dame is a really good academic institution now that Brian Kelly left that put the battery in Notre Dame Administration back so Notre dame with Brady Quinn to say hey we got to play ball a Lil bit so we can compete is all Matt Moscono is saying. Because nrina Kelly been was asking Notre dame for these same things they giving to Marcus freeman and Notre dame was to stubborn and said no that's why Brian Kelly left. I'm sorry if lsu had Notre dame scheudle, they easily had the same record if not undefeated. I don't think this Notre Dame team would last in this Sec League. Notre dame path was way easier than LSU schedule, but we'll see what Notre dame does against ohio state in the natty. Good luck, Irish fans.
Did BK ever lose to Northern IL? Marshall? Stanford? The losses he’s had at LSU have been losses to great/good or at least comparable teams, can’t say that about Freeman. I get why ND fans don’t like Kelly, I was pissed when Saban left us but I got over it, they need to as well.
@ Read my post, I was talking about Kelly’s LSU record. Freeman took over a double digit win team in ‘22 with millions in the collective to spend and transfer portal, Kelly took over a 6-7 team with 39 scholarship players and a toxic locker room. You’re pretty much validating the point of this video by bringing up Kelly’s ND record in a completely different era of the sport, thanks!

This is comical. So let's use your logic on yourself. Coach O won a Natty his 3rd year. Brian Kelly has yet to take LSU to a playoff (including this year's 12 team playoff) and hasn't won an sEC championship. So is Coach O better than BK? No one here is arguing that but you manipulate reality and move the field goal posts to make your ridiculous fanbase feel better about loosing. Maybe when you fire BK next year, you will finally put this dumb argument to bed.
Bro mentioned Lou Holts, South Bend, and the 4 horsemen as selling points for Notre Dame to the young kids... but never mentioned education? NFL draft? And can play for a title?? My guy stop cherry picking. Btw, ND changed a ton for BK. New field, Jumbotron, practice facility, nutrient cafe for the football team. BK even had a private jet which BK never took during the off season bc golfing was more important. The NCAA making NIL or paying for players "legal" is what caused Notre Dame and other schools to open up their resources. Blame that instead of ND caverning to MF over BK. I predicted 9-3 last season and a championship the year before after I started hearing about Daniels and the offense, Matt house is the only reason BK doesn’t have one yet! Edit** 5 WR1 because Zavion Thomas is HIM. He also was WR1 for MSU and could be a WR1 for 80% of SEC schools next year. And he’s our FIFTH option for next season… think abt that for a second😬
The gloating in South Bend has definitely been a little premature. If you don't win the national championship on Monday, Brian Kelly's point continues to be proven.

Sometimes a cold reality slap in the face is required. Freeman inherited a good program BK left behind. Now BK is rebuilding a team that basically was burnt to the ground. Big difference.
You’d think that he’d be able to pair a top 3 best LSU offense ever with NOT the worst LSU defense of all time.

@@carlossiu888 How much does it take to make a coach accept a DC job as opposed to irish head coach? What a crock.
BK was complaining about having a nutrition facility for the players as ND was one of the the few schools where the players ate with the student body.

Here's the deal. Everybody better get with NIL or be left behind. Some schools, tOSU, Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon got out in front of this thing and embraced it.
He's won Sugar Bowl the Orange Bowl and got them in the Championship game 🤔 What big bow game did Kelly win at ND.
BK never won a single playoff came. Never won a major bowl. He made one BCS championship on the back of a light schedule and brand bias.

I don’t think it’s quite that straightforward. Doesn’t seem logical that he simply “refused” to tap into resources.

As a ND fan i liked BK...freeman's just likeable
I don’t understand why people are always highlighting ND’s location as if it’s some huge obstacle to recruiting. It’s 2 hrs to Chicago, 3 on the train, and like most universities it’s like a town onto itself. I have literally never met anyone who just spontaneously told me “I would love to move to Louisiana.”
Matt Moscana you are 100% WRONG when you say that if we were in a 4-team playoff system stimm ND would not be in the playoff and would be "sitting at home like the rest of us." If there were a 4-team playoff, these are the teams that would have been in it: 13-0 Oregon (#1 seed), 11-2 Georgia (probably the #2 seed because they were the SEC Champ even though they had 2 losses at the time), Notre Dame (#3 seed at 11-1 at that time), and the #4 seed would have been either:
a) Mountain West Champ 12-1 Boise State -- their only loss at playoff selection time was by a last-second field goal AT #1 seed (and still unbeaten as of selection time) 13-0 Oregon -- [this would have been the fairest, best outcome];
b) then-11-2 Penn State -- who had just lost the BIG Ten Championship game and who had a substantially LESS IMPRESSIVE Overtime Field Goal "win" over common opponant USC in the LA Colisuem than Notre Dame's MORE IMPRESSIVE 2-touchdown win over USC (IN REGULATION) also out at the LA Colisuem ... and when an injury-riddled ND team played USC at the end of the season, USC was playing much better with a different QB than they used against PSU earlier in the year);
c) then-11-2 Texas -- who had just lost the SEC Championship game by losing to Georgia for the second time this season; OR
d) then-11-1 Indiana -- who was crushed by Ohio State (the same 10-2 Ohio State team at playoff selection time that had just lost at home to a BAD Michigan team in the final game of the season).
You all are over think things….. it’s simple, get use to disappointment with Brian “choke” Kelly.

@carlossiu888 So you admit you're claiming those games? In the grand scheme, no one cares about whether it's a quarterfinal or semi final or NY6 game. Only ND fans care about that. If they lose against OSU, it will mean even less.
When you always have one foot always out the door. Why would anyone want to support you? Plus it was the like first year of NIL.
Bro yes BK help make relevant again and he's a great coach. But you are crazy as hell if you think BK was not holding us back your tripping. He literally had the heisman trophy winner and #1 offemse yet still cant make the CFP in 3 years. More than enough time to do so . Yall have more resources so its no excuse. Freeman is better no debate.
The irish about to get their backs blown out by OSU in the Natty.
Brian Kelly will be fired soon. LSU deserves better. He will waste talent and treat the players like children.
Matt you are living in the past and your resentment is unbecoming.
Let’s call a spade a spade…BK left for that $100M contract
Dude he was making paper at ND less pressure kelly thought before nil recruiting be easy an lsu
3 yrs later all the LSU advantages and you’re nowhere near a championship! You won’t win one with BK.
This dude is so cocky and arrogant…..what exactly have your LSU tigers done???? Ahh 9-4 and Texas Bowl victory, that’s impressive my guy
I love the admission here lol. Imagine had this have been in place before he left. Kelly was the problem though. Lol
No one was going to give him this support because no one liked him, believed in him, nor thought he could win. All reasonable beliefs and feelings.
NIL wasn't legal when BK was at ND. That wasn't even a thing. Notre Dame gave him everything he ever wanted. New stadium, new facilities, training table, better pay for assistants, and additional support staff. He got it all. Still failed.
@@tomas746 nobody liked him yet they kept him around. That doesn’t make sense.
@@patrickcotter512 you believe that NIL is not a factor in the game? Brady Quinn admits in the video Brian Kelly didn’t have resources. Believe what you will. These are all pointless arguments nobody will win either way.
@@edwarda.mcgrathphotography9286 Quinn is not admitting Brian Kelly didn't have the resources necessary to win. Quinn is saying after BK claimed he didn't have the resources to win, he got mad and started a collective. You are being misled based on the way the argument is framed.
Thank you Matt! Excellent analysis of how a double standard D.E.I is applied!!
It's awful analysis. He lied to you.
Notre dame fans crying in the comment section.
BK lost to Tulsa in 2010 lost to Navy 2010 2016 & South Florida 2011 Northwestern 2014 2021 Cincinnati 🤔
@@aaronjusa9134 y’all just have excuses. Point out some bad losses by a first time head coach. Next reply points out that, yes, actually, BK has comparable losses. Oh I was talking about that. 😂 It’s so easy to recruit at LSU! The natty is inevitable. 3 years later you haven’t don’t anything, squandered an electric offense last year, defense still looks like doo doo. What do you say? Well we have 39 scholarship players 3 years ago. Meanwhile we just over here bout to win this natty. Cope and seethe little redneck kitty cats.
7:16 Brian Kelly has it now and is still trash
Congrats on beating Baylor in the nobodygivesacrap bowl...
Congrats on beating trash qb an fettin stomped by buckeyes
@@cheetahturner4576ND=SEC Champs
No!
Yeah I don't want to hear from some glass half full LS UA-camr😅
lol... Quinn you mess up, keep your mouth shut..
ND have all the players BK recruited
No they don't. Of the 85 scholarship players on NDs roster, only 8 of them were signed by BK.
The difference between Marcus Freeman and Brian Kelly? Freeman MAXIMIZES what he has in front of him.... BK???? Dude has been a coach for over 40 yrs and we still hear the same excuses each and every yr. Good luck with that. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
Stop bs name last qb,wr,rb,go 1st round at ND
@@cheetahturner4576 yeah man we’ll just leave off all of the offensive lineman, tight ends, and defensive players. Everyone knows those positions aren’t important.
@tomas746 true but they dont score td name of game is score
So then, Kelly will have taken ND to a Natty game that was far more difficult to get in to, and with less resources….this will all go away after the Bucknuts skull drag them in a few days.
@@darrylsevier6121 yes far more difficult than winning 3 more games against top 10 opponents. LSU fans are crazy smart.
LSU blows
Notre Dame is going to Michigan OSU.
A Notre Dame loss on Monday isn't going make BK coach better next year, make him more likable, or worth $100,000,000.
The portal class and recruiting class will make him a better coach lol.
@@Cdrop63exactly what I was about to say😂 I’m Pretty sure with all of those portal veterans mixed in with what we already had coming back, mixed in with a loaded freshman class.. shit I could probably coach LSU to a championship with that roster😂 they’re LOADED.
@@coreyrogers5358 facts! He has literally zero excuses this upcoming year. Playoffs is the floor!
@ nah idk man. The natty would have to be the floor for me. If you gave Saban this roster and offense, he probably breaks all of 2019s records. We literally have FOUR WR1s😂 and they’re all tall track stars with insane length. And tbh.. they’re all already proven vets. If they stay healthy, I could see an undefeated season. And I’m usually not the type of person to say that.
@ lmao you not lying. I was trying to be more graceful but idk the last time we had this amount of talent lol
lmfao
The gloating in South Bend has definitely been a little premature. If you don't win the national championship on Monday, Brian Kelly's point continues to be proven.
I think you would be better suited worrying about winning an opener against Clemson.
BK left for $100million guaranteed. End of story. The rest of this is just excuse making.
How? LSU has won 3 Nattys since ND has won their last
2 things can be true. 100 million dollars and LDU is a better program than Notre Dame. End of story.
He was already making plenty money. The $100 mil is what it took to make him leave.
😂😂 yeah ok LSU!!! good luck with NOTHING until the end of his contract
Thanks again LSU ☘️☘️
