The visibility from the station is not that good. The footbridge is better. However, Gurun station will give you more choices to photograph, as Class 23/24 locomotives are hauling the urea trains from there.
It depends on platform availability... usually platform 3 or 4 because 1 and 2 are always used by ETS or Komuter. This time it's in 4 because a cargo consist was parked there.
From my observation, arriving freight trains behave similar to the E&OE. They will park into the loop lines or platform 3 or 4, depending on line availability. There the loco hauling the train will decouple (right in front of the footbridge) and run-around to the depot. Then the shunter loco will shunt the consist to the container terminal adjacent to the station.
Landbridge selalunya pakai BCF siri 23xxx dan 24xxx (BCF baru yg panjang). STC pakai campur2 dgn BCF lama yg tinggi & pendek. Landfeeder ni susah sikit nk beza... selalunya dia 35 wagon, sbb perlu lalu kawasan landasan lama di KL. Dlm video ni boleh pasti jenis tren & no. sbb dapat info dari stesen master hehe
Perjalanan ETS ini mungkin lebih pantas.. akan tetapi amat tidak selesa selepas 1 jam perjalanan.. kerana tidak dilengkapi CUSHION sepertimana BAS EKSPRES SANY.. Penumpang mungkin jatuh terlentang diatas LANTAI jika leteh dan tertidur ! Not comfortable at all .. ye ke idok ?

What the difference between landfeeder and Thailand container block?
Landfeeder runs from/to Port Klang, STC trains ply between Padang Besar & Butterworth only.
Ah cool. Gurun is only a few station s south of Padang Besar ?
About an hour journey with the Komuter. The Urea train usually leaves Gurun for Butterworth around 11am-1pm, depending on traffic conditions.
