FTX getting cleared out the market is a good thing in the long run - their management was involved with people we don’t want having an influence in the crypto world. We want to get well funded actors with hidden agendas out the market as early as possible, and thankfully their greed makes that easy.
Not that easy. SBF was immensely successful and pretty much hoodwinking everyone from government to wealthy investors to retail customers, and he still has his tentacles in things like SOL and APTOS. He got away with a pretty transparent scheme for way too long, and a lot of people and businesses will be hurt in the process. And so will the reputation of both crypto and even BTC in the fall-out.
How much trust do you think there is ? It ain't unlimited. Crypto is so tainted and the scams are now exposed, (cynical boiler room seed funding for massive valuations, then sell the tokens given for the "investment" at a profit and abandon your initial seed capital as it was actually your original stake...), it's over as an asset class - thank the lord !

Exchanges should be a simple business taking fees for transactions. A place for people to take risks eyes open, not a source of funds for the exchange owners to gamble with their unwitting clients money. Since this simple fact seems to have eluded them, they need to be regulated.

US tax dollars got laundered through FTX and Ukraine - this is the part we need the average onlooker to understand. you forgot to advise people to screenshot their balances and trade history before deleting the FTX app and logging out of the exchange. screen shots are important for making any legal claims after an exchange goes into administration.
@@Petra999 by the time withdrawals are halted, most of the tokens that you had on the exchange are long gone and all you see on the screen are IOUs so if you can't withdraw them, then neither can any "hacker" that has your info. This is why the funds that moved from FTX after the exchange shut down were most likely an inside job rather than the result of any external hacking. Documentary evidence is crucial if you ever want to make a legal claim when the remaining assets of a collapsed exchange are finally auctioned off or if you just want to write the whole thing off as a tax loss.

Not a bad idea but top 100 strikes me as too broad. Many of those are also-rans few pay attention to and would be largely degen news or news about non-movers. Maybe top 30, to stay relevant.
The only correlation between crypto and the stock market is that when the stock market goes down crypto goes down but in the stock market goes up crypto does not necessarily follow it

USDT is very likely just as risky as FTX/FTT because it is also centrally managed by an opaque organization. Centrally managed = single point of failure = extreme risk.

Ftx/Alameda only had/has 17M tokens from near project. Circulating supply is 826.989M of the 1B total supply. So this is not a big chunk as you said in your video. Please correct this.

Thanks for the indepth analysis. Media talks about bankruptcies while ignoring CZ's Industry Recovery Fund. No one in general is talking about the affect of struggling firms or projects dumping their crypto portfolios to stay afloat or winter energy costs re-spiking inflation concerns, a potential double whammy as stocks would tend to correct downward, dragging down BTC and altcoin prices. Centralized VC coins IMO or low value hype coins would be hit the hardest and some may never recover.

USDT is very likely just as risky as FTX/FTT because it is also centrally managed by an opaque organization.
Centrally managed = single point of failure = extreme risk.

The only problem I have found so far is transferring some of my coins to my ledger is going to cost me stupid amounts and it's not worth it, why give away all of my crypto to save a fraction of it?? Hmmm unless anyone has any ideas I feel stuck... anyway, thanks again for another great video.

Thank you for covering. I know you were duped by SBF along with many other yt crypto influencers . However, I find it hard to trust anyone's recommendations anymore after they promoted FTX and made thousands or millions from them. I won't get fooled again.
Ftx/Alameda only had/has 17M tokens from near project. Circulating supply is 826.989M of the 1B total supply. So this is not a big chunk as you said in your video. Please correct this.

Thanks for the indepth analysis. Media talks about bankruptcies while ignoring CZ's Industry Recovery Fund. No one in general is talking about the affect of struggling firms or projects dumping their crypto portfolios to stay afloat or winter energy costs re-spiking inflation concerns, a potential double whammy as stocks would tend to correct downward, dragging down BTC and altcoin prices. Centralized VC coins IMO or low value hype coins would be hit the hardest and some may never recover.
