As my grandson is called Harry, I always laugh when I hear Old Harry Rocks and intend to visit it next time we are back down in Dorset (would have been next week if not for this virus). Such a nice walk and what a great place to leave a bench looking over the bay to Bournemouth. The sea, what you got to Old Harry Rocks was so clear, calm and blue, I would have been real temped to go in for a dip, cheers Alan
Tx Alan. Sorry to hear about your holiday, the virus has affected so much in our lives. Maybe next year you'll get to see your grandson's namesake 😀 On a nice day like the one that we had, it's an unbeatable view!
I enjoy watching your videos and all the gorgeous scenery every morning while I take my dogs for a walk. You are so fortunate to have so many lovely, scenic pathways on which to walk. Thank you for sharing a bit of England with us!
I'm very sure I went through Studland on one of the Purbeck Breezer bus trips, from Bournemouth to Swanage, in June 2019. Of course I remember the old Harry Rocks and of course it's o wonder you thought that coastal rail trip video of mine was most reminiscent, with cliffs, island fingers of rock sticking up. When I saw the walking track, I wondered if it was a 'ghost railway' as we call them , closed lines. They are a big interest of mine. I'd love to have walked a few of the ones in England, especially on IOW.
Yes, you would have gone through Studland on the bus. No ghost railway though, I'm afraid. The track of the Swanage railway line was almost a ghost railway walking track until the railway enthusiasts managed to revive the line. There are plenty of walks now along what were previously railway tracks. I suspect that a lot of those that were closed would be commercially viable now.
Thanks for your interest in the vid and for taking the time to comment, much appreciated. I knew that they had visited Fort Henry but I didn't know that they were there on the same day - that must have been a big day for Studland! Tx Darko. The day that we did that walk last Summer was perfect. Not too hot, sunny and clear. Fantastic views from that hill! In the background, out at sea, there are some large ships. These are cruise liners which are laid up at the moment. One of the local companies that runs boat trips started a new cruise going out to view the cruise ships close up - it's proved very popular :)
@@TheCountryTraveller Yes, it really was a perfect day. Look at that saturated blue sky and ocean which contrast the white cliffs. The sun makes everything looks so much beautiful! I'm currently editing a video with snowy landscape and overcast sky but it looks so dull without sun and shadows. I can imagine the view from the see being popular. It's a rare sight!

The rocks are magnificent. It is impressive to see when you arrive at the place and we see them for the first time. Liked a lot
