SOME CHALMERS HISTORY:
My dad worked for Chalmers in La Porte, IN in the 50s and was a draftsman when the Model 100 Harvester was designed, and drew arguably the most complex blueprint ever drawn by hand. The drawing is an orthogonal see thru view of the Model 100 Harvester that he spent 6 months making. It shows all the internal moving parts of the harvester, all drawn to scale in a single drawing.
It was used in the patent submission by Chalmers, and the patent attorneys stated they have never seen a drawing of such complexity and that it made it easy to illustrate the patent application.
Our family has a full size copy of the blueprint and need to one day look into offering it to the Smithsonian for scanning. I am dumbfounded whenever I look at it and try and imagine how he was able to draw it on a drafting table...
I would love to have a copy of this!
Especially like seeing the old combines (those pull ones are amazing as are the self driving examples as well) and that baler that literally shoots the bales into the wagon. Hope I can get out to one of these antique tractor demonstrations some day. Thanks for sharing!
My dad had a allis Chalmers b tractor, bring back memories
Thanks for all the work you put into posting this! Appreciate it very much!
Thanks, nice to see some Allis Chalmers equipment. I started out on a WC think it was a 1938 model year. Not sure. Had a neighbor who used Allis tractors until the Dealership disappeared.
Awesome. I saw you guys at the orange spectacular
Enjoyed the video!
Thanks for putting on this video. Gee, I operated a lot of those machines, WC, WD, D17, 185, 210, 7080, 8050, Mod 60 combine with a motor on it and burnt my hand on the dang exhaust, mod 90 combine, two row mounted corn picker on a WC, and mod 190 on a D17, Gleaner AII , CII, G, L2 and L3, . AGCO destroyed the future of Allis Chalmers, IMHO they should have never changed the name or the colors.
Enjoyed the show. I’ve got 2 all crop 90’s with Hume reals if you know anyone looking. They’re sitting in northeast Missouri.
Never saw green A.C's before
I seen your brother on his wc on saturday p.s I just found a UA-camr that I think you would like search Randy Walker Allis because if you just type in Randy Walker it won't show up
Still cant beat a Massey Ferguson, or ferguson in front of a plow
