@Rav1611 not development hell, just development from what I know, what they're going for doesn't happen quickly, from the last bit of news I heard from it it shouldn't be too long till release
The games main problem is that it has no multiplayer or story mode. You just jump into battles and then once you win you're done. The physics of the sword fighting are amazing and fun, but with no ability to play with friends or through a story its just boring after a few days. Once you beat the game that's it. There is no more reason to play. A game like Ghosts of Tsushima keeps you interested even though the sword fighting is bland and repetitive because there are new areas to explore and stories to get into. This game has the exact opposite problem. Great swordplay but no story or way to fight other players.
I wish there was a story based game with this combat
Swordsman does have a story its just super minimal ahah. There's a game coming out soon called Undead Citadel which has full physics based combat
