Deciding Doubles Germany - Croatia Tennis Fed Cup 1997

This was probably one of the best doubles matches I've ever played and one of the best mental efforts in my career.
The TV station cut the live broadcast in the beginning of the 2nd set so I only have a highlight reel fro the end of the match (which, for some reason, came out in black and white when I had the VHS tapes put on digital).

Probably winning 11:9 in the third in the second round at the French Open against Helena Sukova. Not the best match played necessarily but a good mental effort.

Coach, can you comment on when to come in to the net in doubles? I saw you approach from baseline to net in many occasions but not always. I’m having no clue when I should approach and when I shouldn’t. 😂.

Ideal is when you take a ball to come in that allows you to get inside the service box for your first volley. Mostly, those are balls that bounce around the service line. In the match above I came in with everything because I didn't want to get into baseline exchanges against Majoli and Lucic.
