I meet this band like 4 years ago and they split up less than a year ago. Hecking love their music, I’m from Mexico and never had something of a chance to see them. So sad.
Hace unas semanas descubrí a Beach Bab, gracias a Carlos Echeverría, una nueva formación muy interesante. Te sugiero que le sigas la pista con atención, ya que seguro que después de que oigas los tres temas que te sugiero te quedarás enganchado. La banda nace hace cinco años en Londres, en el entorno de la universidad de Bristol, al principio tocaban en pequeños bares y poco a poco fueron ampliando su repertorio con el que defender sus actuaciones. Desde entonces, a pesar de apenas haber comercializado algunos singles, Beach Boys ha tocado en escenarios y festivales de todo el mundo junto a figuras como Caribou, Patti Smith, Ride o DIIV. El grupo ahora acaba de editar un Ep, “UR”, con cuatro canciones, además han conseguido lanzar oficialmente en Estados Unidos el single“No Mind No Money” en iTunes. La música de estos chicos se mueve entre la psicodelia sesentera, sonidos de la new wave y el indie más actual. Beach Baby suenan chispeantes, muy frescos, con riffs pegadizos. Te dejo sus tres temas más destacados y ya me contarás: "Limousine", "Ladybird" y "No mind no money".
