Cattle Decapitation is probably the platinum standard of modern extreme metal bands. Brutally heavy rhythm section while the vocals modulate between guttural growls and demonic screams. Definitely unique in a genre that usually sacrifices creativity for speed.
You know im commenting on this one. So glad you enjoyed this! So far, my top album of the year. It's fuckin fire bud. Travis Ryan might be my most favorite vocalist. You should just do a full album listen/review. Thanks for taking the time to listen!
usually take me a few times before the lyrics really set in,. I am a former drummer, and so I instantly listen to Drums and Bass, then guitars and vocal melody. The good ole days of cracking the cassette and reading along are over .. haha
Travis has to be one of the best lyricists in metal. Which pairs nicely with his vocal talent. I mean, how many people can make deoxyribonucleic acid sound badass? Most of all, I love how all the lyrics fit the theme of the album. It sets an already unique album apart even further.
The band logo alone is impossible. I will be joining Mike B in the Polite Pass Lounge on this one. Hey, Mike, you want something to drink? I'm buyin'!! 😸🥃💥
Impressive as always but as a drummer, I think it is absolutely unnecessary and ridiculous to play 32nd notes (or whatever the hell it is) on the kick drums! That aspect is just not musical
The beginning Sounds like a 1912 German Industrial Metal Plant. I like the Breakdown and Great Drummer!!!

For my top two albums this year, Terrasite by Cattle Decap and Holocene by The Ocean are my contenders lmao.
I second this. Theres so many good songs/sections of songs on this whole album that I'd love to hear your thoughts on.
This album is so damn good. I can't get enough of this.
🔥🔥🔥
I like how 90% of people just ignore lyrical content and what album is about.

I dig into the lyrics if I enjoy the music or if I make out some bad ass line when I listen to it

Fantastic band. Travis Ryans vocals sound exactly the same live. It's insane.
When I can't read the bands logo i know I'm in for a very very heavy time....Sorry but for me this is going to be a polite pass

Aaron Kitcher dose it best in my opinion.
