That's fair I'm just not a fan when it removes tricks that are widespread and exciting.
Phone a friend is also pretty weird too. Like if that ended up deciding a match I'd be pretty bummed too.

Feel like taking away the tricks make the experience for the viewer a lot worse.
I’d implement that you can only do a trick once.
One barspin, one whip, one crank flip etc etc
It’s just an option we made to keep games more entertaining in our opinion. Everyone has that one trick that they really hope the other rider doesn’t do on them and this rule (how I played a bunch growing up) always made the games more fun.

I miss being all cool and shit riding my bike. It’s been a few years and I just dropped 2k on a sick ass setup when I got my career. Also can’t afford to get hurt so that’s why I stopped but I gotta get back on it. Best shape of my life at 31. About time to get back on the steed. Love this event, would be sick to see a game live

It was clean enough for us, but we are always discussing afterwards and that one was defiantly talked about.

I get it, it’s difficult as fuck and usually not a first try type of trick but you set a rule, stick to the rule. You have to agree with me here, It was not clean was it?

Or they should have people picked before any tricks so it’s like you just have a back up buddy not just pick anyone there but tbh it should be removed, or you should add in its place a scratch so instead of phone a friend you can take one of your opponents moves out so say I do a 180 crank down a rail , and your not feeling it you can say scratch that , and then have the guy do another trick. Just a thought,

There needs be a limit on how many tricks can be in a line. I personally dont like the riders being allowed to do ridiculous lines. Two tricks thats it like the double pegs to hard 180 into bank. Six trick lines are just dumb for GOB
