another great vid guys, i reckon the new larger screen dash they have released would look even better but thats just my opinion and im sure its a hell of a lot more expesive as well
Great video, thanks for posting. Need to do the install for my Calais. I'm running an Mx7 gearbox so need to figure out what I'm going to do about the speedo given it's mechanical. The Rb25 5spd speedo drive is electric but the gear on the end is different. There's also the GPS speed sensor that Haltech does but not totally keen on that.
When im eventually on the tail end of my Vl im looking at an aftermarket dash. Why did you go the IC-7? im looking at the powertune digital dash for cost but the haltech looks like it has a fair bit of info on installing them
I have a powertune dash and it is an absolute pain in the ass to get it to work with the ls1 ecu I’m about to sell it and go this route if you are going aftermarket ecu it makes like shitloads easier as you can run Canbus

When fitting the oil pressure side of thing do you just unplug the current plug and fit the one for the ic7 does the ls ecu need to see oil pressure?
Yes mate you just leave the other one unplugged. The PCM doesn’t use it as it also has an oil pressure switch to throw a low pressure light.
