My folks took our family to 6 Gun once in the late 1960s, we rode in a stage coach, afraid of rattle snakes under the seats (thanks to the driver telling us how that had happed once or twice). We saw the can-can girls but sadly it was not a day when there was a shootout on the streets. I have fond memories and faded black and white photos we took there. Thanks for reviving those memories with this.
My aunt had a shop there. We would go and she would let us pick out anything we wanted in the shop. What a treat. Inspired by the cowboys I wanted to be a stunt woman but never made it, but I fall down a lot. At the age of 10 that was my dream job.
Went to Six Gun as we called it many times. during the summer our folks would give us 5 bucks and drop us off in the morning and pick us up in the afternoon. 5 bucks got you in and some lunch and maybe a buck left over. I was heartbroken when they burned it down.
I remember six gun Territory went there as a child. I really like the shootouts it was lots of fun. Looking forward to going for their reunion this weekend.

I went to this park when I moved to Ocala in 1982. Unfortunately, it was already on a downward spiral, and it was obvious the end was near.
Great video - excellent info.
Thanks for watching, I’m glad you liked it!
