Totally, totally agreed. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again. "Disney used to have diversity and variety... that was before they discovered the laugh track." In a Heartbeat is above and beyond anything that Disney does now. All their shows are the same. Famous people trying to live a normal life. Come on! The Famous Jett Jackson did it first and it did it a million times better.
I agree. They think they can only keep the current generation captivated with supernatural themes (obviously which could never happen), usually with frenzy computer animation and relentless noise.
I'm from California and I miss watching this I learn a lot from it positive things I was disappointed when Disney cancelled the show after one season because there were complaints from parents ! my parents let me watch it they say it teaches you what to do in case of a emergency like when some one who is choking ,do CPR , and some other stuff I wished they had made 3 more seasons ! I also wish Disney channel release this in DVD on amazon
Yeah, same here. I remember staying up until like 4 o clock or something until Honey I Shrunk the Kids the tv show was over. Those were the days. IAH, Bug Juice, So Wierd, TFJJ, The Jersey and then HISTK:TTVS all in one after dark special.
this was when disney did great tv shows. in a heartbeat was a wonderful series. believe it or not disney did amazing and awesome shows back them.this is one of the shows that needs to come back on tv, back on the disney channel and not on disney +
I used to have the biggest crush on Christopher Ralph...both he and Shawn Ashmore were also on Animorphs, which always blew my mind when I was younger. Disney doesn't do drama anymore, such a shame. Just a bunch of 12 year olds singing acting goofy to a laugh track and singing sub-par bubblegum pop music. I'm sad now.
In a heartbeat is another great Disney TV series that they should have not cancelled along with so weird. I used to love enjoy watching both these TV series on Disney. Do not ask me why they discontinued them I have no clue but it was their mistake they should have continued in a heartbeat and so weird. Both shows were so fantastic and amazing it was mind-blowing. I was just thinking about this yesterday or should I see last night before I went to bed .I truly would love to see Disney do you these two marathons New Year's Eve and New Year's Day like seriously having a so weird and in a heartbeat Marathon one could be on New Year's Eve and the other could be on New Year's Day I'm just saying it would be amazingly awesome to see these shows again. But I know deep down inside Disney ain't going to do it what a shame. Or they can do like some type of ever Union show I would love to see all the cast and what they're up to today from so weird and in a heartbeat. I am and always will be a big true die-hard fan of in a heartbeat and so weird I think these two shows were the greatest series at Disney had ever played. I truly 100% 💓 these shows. And I will continue to be a big fan of these two shows until the day I die.
I miss this show and the other shows Disney used to Play. This is actually the show that made me want to become and EMT. It actually showed kids how to treat emergencies it also showed that EMT aren’t scary and they are just there to help you. It showed real life too! I mean seriously how many kids are going to have a double life and be pop super star or are secretly wizards. EMS is real life and depending on the state high school students can be EMR’s or EMT’s.
Lauren Collins is in Degrassi. Shawn Ashmore's twin is on Smallville but he had a small guest starring. He's mostly known as Bobby Drake(Iceman) from the X-Men movies. And Christopher Ralph had a recurring role on Instant Star.
Ever since then i wanted to be a paramedic! Now I'm at the age were I need to pick colleges, and I still hold that statement true! Loved this show, i think i cried when i got cancelled :(
I would love to have this show to watch whenever I want! While watching this I never imagined that I'd be sitting here hoping to register for EMT training in the new year.
I completely forgot about this. I recognize this show and theme song so I think I used to watch it. It seems like it was an interesting show. It seems like it was edgier and more realistic like other Disney Channel shows of the time. Sucks it got cancelled after one season.
This is the first show that I ever really showed interest in. I barely saw any episodes (maybe 6 and I can't even remember them) before they took it off air, but I know that I loved it!
this show was the first time i saw lauren collins before degrassi. i miss this show!!! i would do anything to go back to those days and watch all the old disney and nick shows again. remember zoog disney and snick?
I loved this show so much Not only because two actors from my favorite nick show Animorphs were in it but also because it was dramatic and different from all the other shows I had seen on kids networks
I so would love to see Disney do a marathon of in a heartbeat, of course I don't think that would happen at all. I tried to get Disney to do a in a heartbeat marathon for years now & no go. It would be nice to see this marathon for new years eve or new years day.
I wish they'd mix the old Disney in, at least. Have a "classics" block from 12-4AM or something, for those of us who love these old shows. Play a movie and four half-hour episodes of random shows. Jett Jackson, The Jersey, So Weird... Oh man. The old days. I love new Disney, but I miss great quality TV like this. The new stuff is fluff, which I love, but it just really isn't the same.
Oh god...i miss this show soo much!!!! It used to be my favorite show when i was younger!!! I loved Disney then. They actually had quality stuff back then unlike now.
holy crap! Danso played clay on south of nowhere and Christopher was Chaz on Instant Star I knew i had recognized them when i first saw them on those shows. used to love this show!
God! I remember watching this show like everyday. Then all of a sudden (I was rewatching the season for the seventh time) BAM! I go to watch it and some stupid new show was on. I loved this show! I watched X Men the other day and started thinking about Shawn Ashmore. Then I remembered this show. Damn, I wish it was still on.
This was such a great show! It sucks that they cancelled it after only 1 season! As mentioned before it was a REAL show about real world stuff unlike all the nonsense on Disney now.
wow... I was looking at some old so weird episodes here on youtube and then I saw this under similar videos... I used to LOVE this show, but I didn't remember it till now... =O
Same here, same here. But around the time they was airing the original shows after dark (The Famous Jett Jackson, So Weird, The Jersey, and Bug Juice) they took off Vault Disney.
Damn I loved this show!!!! I had no idea Aaron Ashmore had a twin. So I was trying to look it up on IMDb and I didn't see anything on Aaron's that related to this show. So I found it he had a twin named Shawn, I had no clue.
i remember the day of the series premiere of the show (August 26, 2000) was the same day that my little cousin was born!! its so funny how i remember that!
i didn't realize till i just looked it up that this wasn't the first show that Shawn Ashmore and Christopher Ralph were in together. They were also both in "Animorphs"
i swear to god this theme song is like, a legit song. it keeps replaying over and over in my head and i tried looking for the real song on google and all i got was its called "In a Heartbeat" by Blaise Pascal. this is reallllly bugging me. but i loved this show so much
This was on around the time of The Famous Jett Jackson, The Jersey and So Weird. This was Disney when it still focused on pre teens and teens, not annoying precocious 10 year olds watching 16 year olds act like tweens and talk about dumb things.
I never really watched this show much when it was actually on, but now my big sis is obsessed with it again for some reason, so I have to hear about it and I'm probably going to watch it eventually. Though every time I see Shawn Ashmore, I think "Bobby!" thanks to X-men...XD
I agree! DC totally effed themselves over by removing shows/movies like this. Remember "So Weird", "The Famous Jett Jackson", "The Jersey", and all those other AMAZING SHOWS? I loved the movies back then too. "Jett Jackson the Movie, "The Luck of the Irish", "The 13th Year", and I can't remember the name but there were 2 or 3 with those 2 brothers and they played cousins in the movie? The oldest was from CA, the younger from like texas?
I was obsessed with this show when I was little until Disney friggin took it off just b/c it had well-developed thematic elements with just the right ounce of drama for kids. what the frik Disney?! why did they have to ruin an amazing show? I'm always gonna miss this show!!
Hearing the intro I remember it, but not enough to bring back anything. So Weird, and Lizzy McGuire were my more interesting shows. I do remember watching 1 or 2 but ... at any rate, I wish this along with the Zoog family was back ... just so it could bring back memories for all of us who lived their childhoods with it...
And when I uploaded several episodes on youtube, they were taken down by Disney. Not Family Channel. If that isn't enough to convince you then I don't know what is.
Good God Lauren Collins was young! I really wish they would fire the person thats in charge of programing today and bring back the person that was in charge before, I really miss this show and all the other shows that they use to have. I remeber all the old shows and I really miss them: So Weird, Bug Juice and others just to name a few. *sigh* thoses were the good ole' days
wow i totally forgot about this show. like i remember it very vaguely. but lauren collins from degrassi is on here and so is that dude that was on south of nowhere. crazy.
It was on Disney Channel for like 3 years. And it was a DC Original Series. Did you even check Wikipedia? Wiki Says: "In a Heartbeat is a Disney Channel Original Series inspired by real life EMT squads whose staff consists of high school students located all over the country that premiered in 2000 and ran from 2000-2001." And I remember in one interview a long time ago, Christopher Ralph(Jamie) said, "Jamie is a Disney rebel." or something like that. This was was a DC original to the bone.
This show made me realize I wanted to be a paramedic in life! Proud to be part of the EMS family!
good for you!! thank you
This was such an underrated show! I LOVED In a Heartbeat! I wish it had lasted more than 1 season
I HATE that they canceled this show
According to my research it was only intended to be a limited series/A one season show
Totally, totally agreed. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again.
"Disney used to have diversity and variety... that was before they discovered the laugh track."
In a Heartbeat is above and beyond anything that Disney does now. All their shows are the same. Famous people trying to live a normal life. Come on! The Famous Jett Jackson did it first and it did it a million times better.
too bad Disney don't make realistic shows like this anymore
tamarachandler85 I know. The shows back then used to be fun and educational. Now they're just fun and don't teach anything.
tamarachandler85 they’re getting there with Andi Mack.
@@ComeliaO7 Yeah that show really mature better than crap like Stuck in the middle bunkd bizzardvark coop and cami and the other shit they make now
I agree. They think they can only keep the current generation captivated with supernatural themes (obviously which could never happen), usually with frenzy computer animation and relentless noise.
i remember this show used to come on late at night around midnight and i stayed up and watched it every weekend
I'm from California and I miss watching this I learn a lot from it positive things I was disappointed when Disney cancelled the show after one season because there were complaints from parents ! my parents let me watch it they say it teaches you what to do in case of a emergency like when some one who is choking ,do CPR , and some other stuff I wished they had made 3 more seasons ! jan8919 Disney got complaints from parents?
@@darkskyparadise1384 Yeah so did Ren and Stimpy and Invader Zim

this show was my soap opera when i was like 11, i loved this show cant understand why it was off the air after one season. :(
Oh man, I loved this show! I remember when I saw Degrassi for the first time I was like, hey! the girl from In a Heartbeat!
In a heartbeat is another great Disney TV series that they should have not cancelled along with so weird. I used to love enjoy watching both these TV series on Disney. Loved this show back on Disney Channel!
I wish this would come out on DVD. I used to be in their shoes and it was good to see EMS captured in a disney variation.
We need to fight back with a Petition!
Lauren Collins before she was Paige on degrassi🙃
Lauren Collins is in Degrassi. Shawn Ashmore's twin is on Smallville but he had a small guest starring. He's mostly known as Bobby Drake(Iceman) from the X-Men movies. And Christopher Ralph had a recurring role on Instant Star.

This was my ABSOLUTE favorite show to watch at night. I wasn't even a teen, but I pretty much understood everything that went on.
I forgot about this show! I loved it so much when it was on.
And I didn't even remember that Lauren Collins and Shawn Ashmore were in it.
used to be my favorite show on disney, EVER.
along with that's so weird, miss those old days.
This is the first show that I ever really showed interest in. I barely saw any episodes (maybe 6 and I can't even remember them) before they took it off air, but I know that I loved it!
Look at how young Lauren Collins was here! Wow...I feel old now just because I'm the same age she is!
Have been looking for the intro for sooo long bt forgot the name of the show. I remember it coming on before or after The Jersey. woww thx for posting
this show was the first time i saw lauren collins before degrassi.

i would do anything to go back to those days and watch all the old disney and nick shows again.

Such a good show. I remember watching it when I was younger. Back when disney channel was still kinda original.. haha

Really it just goes to show that your never too old for good tv and thats the truth plain and simple
Oh god...i miss this show soo much!!!! It used to be my favorite show when i was younger!!! I loved Disney then. They actually had quality stuff back then unlike now.
Man, this show wasn't around for long. I loved it though!

I miss this show it made me who i am today i wish they would bring it back
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah i love this show!
Prefer Disney from 19th 1800s.And the movies and series of that time.
Especially The Horse in Motion the first in history
This was a good show! I miss it and it had two people from Animorphs =P
Damn I loved this show!!!! I had no idea Aaron Ashmore had a twin. So I was trying to look it up on IMDb and I didn't see anything on Aaron's that related to this show. So I found it he had a twin named Shawn, I had no clue.

OMG this show was my life when it was on.
i remember the day of the series premiere of the show (August 26, 2000) was the same day that my little cousin was born!! its so funny how i remember that!
Same. I freaked when I missed an episode.
i didn't realize till i just looked it up that this wasn't the first show that Shawn Ashmore and Christopher Ralph were in together. They were also both in "Animorphs"
God I used to LOVE this show!!! Wow!!
I think disney is kicking them selfs for taking this show off the air I would to see this back on in re runs.
Ughghhh why is this song so impossible to find!!??
I totally agree! Disney isn't even close to the channel it used to be.
I remember this show. I use to like it.
shaun ashmore is my life. he was when i was 7 and he still is
I still remember all the lyrics to the theme song! Thanks for the nostalgia!
they used to show this show at around 9 i think. I actually love the song lol
Wow, blast from the past!
Wow, memories. I loved this show. what the hell was with Disney and canceling all my favorite shows?
i loved this show!!!
Yeah fell in LOVE with this...I remember staying up late nights just to watch this and I still would now being 19 cause yeah...it was very real.
i swear to god this theme song is like, a legit song. it keeps replaying over and over in my head and i tried looking for the real song on google and all i got was its called "In a Heartbeat" by Blaise Pascal. this is reallllly bugging me. but i loved this show so much

I miss this show.
I can't believe that i remember all these faces, i couldn't have been older than 6 or 7 when this show was out.
i LOVED this show! and i thought i was the only one who watchedd it lol.
I never really watched this show much when it was actually on, but now my big sis is obsessed with it again for some reason, so I have to hear about it and I'm probably going to watch it eventually. Though every time I see Shawn Ashmore, I think "Bobby!" thanks to X-men...XD

Jackie Rosenbaum was in the 2005 disney channel movie Twiches staring Tia & Tamera Mowry. Just incase know one knew that.
Can we just acknowledge Shawn Ashmore AND Christopher Ralph in the same shoe AFTER Animorphs
The opening looks so familiar, so I watch before. I don't remember any of the episodes though. I was only 8 or 9 when it was on.
Just looked it up the artist singing this song is named Blaise Pascal
i wish the old disney came back!
i love this songg
And when I uploaded several episodes on youtube, they were taken down by Disney. Not Family Channel. If that isn't enough to convince you then I don't know what is.

I totally miss this show!!! Can someone please tell me where I can find an mp3 of the theme song? I tried Lime Wire but its not there!
Completely agree!! 100% !! IF ONLY IF ONLY
It was produced and filmed in Canada but it was very much a DC Original.
wow i totally forgot about this show. like i remember it very vaguely. but lauren collins from degrassi is on here and so is that dude that was on south of nowhere. crazy.

I didn't even know that high school students could work as EMT's.
do they have a longer version of this song
This was an amazingly good show. Disney knew how to do drama.
