In this video I tackle this Yamaha TZR 125 engine to split the crankcase and reinstall the crank using this Vevor Crankcase tool. It would have been impossible to do this job without this tool and saves from doing any damage to the engine. Check it out.

For your information, the crank is not bent, Its just the threads at the end which shouldn't affect anything. If it does, we'll replace it.
Hi matin I was going to say it looks bent but at the end of the vid it looks straight
i im not sayin the crank is bent if its tight when u install it and tighten screws up its usually cause the crank isant cebtralise a few taps on either end ov the crank with a copperhammer will sort it cheers mark
Thanks for the video Martin nice to see you back in action! thanks for the discount code too!
Regards
Paul
Great bit of kit, Martin, amazing how the correct tool makes a difficult job so easy. Excellent
Once one Martin enjoy watching your repair videos watching from South Africa
Mighty fine piece of kit Martin, especially the crankshaft refitting part of the tool. Just goes to show how easy a job can become given the right tools. Great work, an excellent video and explanation. Thanks for sharing.
Cracking bit of kit, job well done Martin, 👍🏻❤
An absolute joy to watch Martin
Cheers Steve.
Nicely done Martin that’s a bit of handy kit
Great job really looking forward to seeing the TZR running brings back some great memories for me a great bike 👍
Glad to see you back in the cabin mate 👍🏻 so glad your health is on the mend Martin 👍🏻
excellent tool Martin, and a very good repair and video,
Excellent job Martin Gary can get on and start building it now 👍👍👍👍
Well done Martin great tool for the job 👏 👍
Nice to see you back working on bikes again.
Never watched a video of yours yet Martin and not picked up a good tip or useful tool to have ! Definitely going to buy one of these ! Thanks for that 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Tom👍
brilliant work 😊
Great video Martin. I know next to zero about repairing things like this, but that tool reminded me of a tool I've used many times repairing my push bikes over the years. A crank shaft extraction tool. As you'll know it's the same principal, pushing two pieces of metal apart using a screw. A real pain in the arse if you haven't got one, easy peasy when you have.
Always good to get new tools. Today I rebuilt a petrol power washer i got for nothing, hadn't worked in years. Had some help from UA-cam 😊
Think I'd be too tight to buy this tool and would make something to do the job from bits I'm hoarding.....
About time you got back out in the log cabin!😁
Another great video
Used something like this when I did a KTM very handy tool 🔧 Martin.
Nice 1 Martin 👍👌
The top of the crank looks like its bent martin
Its just the end bit where the threads are
I noticed that also.
It’s wobbling all over the place
@@Evermoregreen23451 Its all back together and no wobble at all, it was just the threads.
Hope you can help, love your videos, been going back over them trying to find what you used for transfer tape, in one video, my daughter what a go a making labels, thanks Philip
crank is bent like a banana @8:14
Its just the end bit where the threads are
well spotted Martin @@retrorestore
good job lad if you hit the crank on each end with a copper hammer it centralises the crank and spins freely u wouldant have had to split the cases done many ov these engines always worked 4 me keep up the good work
Mend it man needs one .
A handy tool for engine mechanics.
That tool makes it look a lot easier jobs a good un
Dam you Martin ya make me want to get a 2 stroke again, I had RD 500 , engine didn’t last long 😂😢
good job
👍👍👍.Thank you
when you first split the casing i think i see the spring from the output shaft seal i think!
races not sat central in bearing tap either side sits them perfect every time Martin
I've fitted many bearings Callum.
I believe you mate many wouldn’t
Is there any work on the Trotter van coming soon?
Great work and good tool to have. Is the end of the crank bent? Or is that just my eyes playing tricks on me 😂. Cheers for the video Martin take care and hope you’re feeling better.
Its just the end bit where the threads are
@@retrorestore oh okay ha just though I’d mention it in case you missed it 😃
The threads on the end of the crank are bent when the flywheel spins that will create a big vibration and may affect the timing
Its just the end bit where the threads are slightly bent. if its a problem, we'll get another crank.
When will you be doing the promised review on the power bank please Martin?
very soon.
That crank pin is bent and rusty, bottom end will be in similar shape, that crank needs rebuild, otherwise you will use your case splitter again very soon.
Its just the end bit where the threads are.
Hi Martin I hope that you are now fully recovered.
That is an excellent tool, do you think it could be used on a small Mobylette type engine?
Take care, Jeff
Would be suitable for all as far as I can see. Splash out😂
Yes, absolutely
When are you gonna restore lee van camps blinds
crank called bent bob.
Its just the end bit where the threads are
Crank was probably hitting the balancer
I have same issue with a sp50 engine, what was making it stiff to turn?
They supplied a wrong size bearing.
Jesus that crank is well bent
It's just the thredded bit and not the actual crank.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
If you find an RD400 or a KH350 that need doing up ill buy them off you 🎉
What did you drop on floor at 09:00 ?
tissue.
@@retrorestorebless you
That crank is bent Martin
Its just the end bit where the threads are slightly bent. if its a problem, we'll get another crank.
Crank bent
Its just the end bit where the threads are
Is it just me or does the nose of that crank look bent when it rotates?
Its just the end bit where the threads are slightly bent. if its a problem, we'll get another crank.
nice to see you looking well mate after your setback..great channel this is.
Must have been a bearing pissed as you never realigned the crank webs which is what I thought you was going to do
No it wasn't.
@@retrorestore ???????
The crank is bent and i didnt like the way that you just put it back together . Not at all good mate .
Its just the end bit where the threads are. What didn't you like?
