- So I made a video for Ty and Amy from Heartland. I think it shows the development of their relationship over the seven seasons. I know its kind of long, so sorry about that. Also sorry about the logo in the middle there's no way to get rid of it.

I love this show. Amie & Ty such a beautiful love story. But one by one the beloved charcters started leaving the show. Then were replaced by new ones, that took away from the bond & foundation the show was built on. it just didn't have the same magic. Seems like it was all falling apart. The strong ties were broken. My heart was broken when the show started showing less & less of the main foundation charcters.
Heartland is not the great show that it was without Ty please bring him back 🙏🙏
We so need another clean romance and a good family drama. PLease, Please

Great video. They were both so young and innocent, although Ty was supposed to be the bad boy. During their growing relationship, I noticed that Ty always supported her and was there if she needed a shoulder to cry on. Those times they did have serious splits it was so obvious that neither one of them was happy. The really gut wrenching episodes were the ones where either Ty or Amy was seriously hurt. You can't help but get caught up in the ups and downs of their relationship, which eventually triumphed over all obstacles.
When will heartland start season 14
After all the ups and downs that they went through, we the viewers finally witness a wonderful marriage between two people who love each other so much. Sadly it breaks my heart that we did not get a happy ending. No one can ever replace the love that Ty gave to Amy and the chemistry that they have for each other😪
I absolutly love Heartland and I just started watching it like a week ago no lie so thanks to the director, producers, and actors who made this amazing show possible and Shout out to Amy and Ty I think you two should have stayed together y'all made a very cute couple.

It struck me today that happy and successful men are often married to women who are better people than they are. Just think about it with your parents or other people that you know. Even in this show it is demonstrated (Jack, Cahleb, Tim, but maybe not Peter).
After seeing so many video clips summarizing the 13 year relationship between Ty and Amy, it made me realize that despite Amy being this amazing young woman and talented horse whisperer; Ty is actually the better person in this relationship. He proved it time and time again.
If it were not for Tys unconditional love and support, Amy proved that she would have thrown their relationship away at least twice in the years before. If it werent for Tys willingness to forgive and to sacrifice...... (possible jail time, all his money and possibly his education, let her as his fiance go to Europe alone with a rich Prince to take advantage of a once in a lifetime experiemce to advance her career, his willingness to let her choose another career and/ or man if that is what she wanted, and finally to sacrifice his own life) ...... Amy would not have Lynday and dare I say she would be in an unhappy relationship with someone who didnt love her at all like Ty did.

@@lisalodi967 Thanks. It seems that a lot of people are more sympathetic to Ty than they are to Amy. I dont believe the producers (including Amber) like that fact and that is why they are disrepecting Ty so much and trying to move on from him now that he is dead.

I decided to watch this I it's entirety even though I have to go to work. This is done on a truly impressive way and everything fit perfectly. There are a few parts that made me cry. I wonder do you ever watch something and wonder...is there something like that for me out there? I type this with tears filling my eyes. Thank you for sharing this.

That was great! I watched the first 5 seasons on Netflix till they ran out of seasons, then I bought 7 seasons on Dvd, just to catch up so I can enjoy season 8. That's a lot of Heartland so far in 3 months but I was hooked!

Great collection of scenes and songs. So much emotional transfer both positive and negative.
It is also a good reminder of how Ty is the officially designated emotional whipping boy for this whole series. If they ever needed more drama the writers would simply say, what can we have Ty do or what can we have Amy do to him this time to whip up an emotional controversy.
It is too bad that those same writers didnt give Ty any help in making Amy accountable within the script for the harm she so often caused him. I know she is the main star but if they want her character to continue to be liked, they need to make her more than this perpetually dishonest and unfaithful woman. Who wants to root for that kind of person?
Have to go to work as late as it is...I was curious to watch this. However will have to watch the rest of it at another time - have to leave soon. Awesome work on it based off of the first 4 minutes that I had watched.

It's an amazing series to get into, however - Netflix is way behind on seasons. It ends at episode 84, season 5..There's about to be season 8 starting this fall in Canada.

Lets take a look at the relationship development of Amy and Ty. I see people chastising both of these characters and often confusing the characters with the actors who portray them in Heartland.
First is the character of Amy, she is a 15 year old young lady who was raised by a single mother as her female role model and her grandfather as her male role model. Her father left when she was 5 years old and her mother may have had at least one relationship but the relationship was not visible to her children. In essence she had no healthy relationship role model to learn from. So we see this young lady having to figure out for herself what a healthy relationship is and what are the permissible boundaries.
Now we have Amy getting into a relationship with Ty. Ty is a product of purely unhealthy role models. His male role models are his father who was an irresponsible criminal who deserted both him and his mother. Then he had a violent addicted irresponsible step father. His mother was a codependent addict role model that continued to get into unhealthy relationships. So we see this 17 year old young man trying to figure out how to have a healthy relationship without becoming his male role models, Ty’s greatest fear.
The writers of the show have taken us through years of watching these two unprepared kids teaching themselves how to have a healthy relationship. Both Amy and Ty made multiple mistakes and we got to watch them work through their errors and learn from them. As in real life we learn from our mistakes, if we hold on to our dreams, move forward, then we can grow and mature from them. Then we come to season 8 and the relationship hits a major wall. The couple have minimal contact for about 4 months. Now neither Ty nor Amy made a move to see other people during this time period. They both took time to self evaluate and with the strength of their love did not just move on. When they get back together we get a view of their growth. Amy, realizing her dishonesty in keeping secrets and her loss of who she was and what was truly important to her. Ty’s big realization was that he was ok on his own, breaking that codependency nature that he had and was in the relationship because he wanted to be there and not because he had to be there.
Then for the next 5 seasons we get to watch this young couple wade through some of the hardest years of any married couple. Showing excellent conflict resolution and maintain a healthy relationship. The show writers and the excellent acting of the stars of heartland have done a superb job of presenting this. So much so I see people showing their emotional comments as if these were real people. Another complement to the writers and actors.
Now Ty dies and the writers have to find a way to allow Amy to move on while keeping Ty alive in his daughter’s memories and keeping Ty’s memories out of any new relationship Amy may pursue. A difficult task since it would go against who Amy has become but let’s see how they handle it.

That is a good high level overview of their story. It is worth keeping in mind as people think about this series.
As you said, season 8 was the key season. I still wish the scripts would have been done better to more clearly convey the storyline purposes that you describe. That is espeically true with regard to showing how "relationship growth and maturity " is accomplished. That process is through forgiveness which is preceeded by a sincere apology for the harm that was caused. Without that, viewers lose site of the important messages that you described because they get stuck on the resentment they feel over how their favorite character was treated or portrayed. Still, I guess it is left up to every viewer to look past that and just try to enjoy the show.
I hope you enjoy the series as it continues on.
