To make the materials easy for you to identify look after the name in the tool tip. Like it will say
Bones (keratin)
Cobalt (metal)
It helps when there are so many different materials and material names. Loving the playthrough so far 😉

Behind the lantern statue on the top of the rock mountains should have emeralds (gems) and quartz (crystal)
