Fruits basket with all the seasons and this movie is literally the most precious perfect wholesome masterpiece I've ever seen in my life, there can't be another one like this ever, it has the most tragic beginnings with the saddest twists a rollercoaster of emotions involving love, family, hate, friendship, jealousy, obsession, self-hate, abuse, violence, self-harm, sacrifice, guilt, regrets, atonement, forgiveness and finally freedom and happiness, it would literally drive you to the point of wanting to get Isekaid to kill the most hated character but then you'd realise that villains are not born but made and it gives them their chance for happiness that they never experienced, or you'd wanna get Isekaid to hug all the hurt ones cause the pain is really unmeasurable, I relate most to Ren and Kyoko that it makes my heart ache and I could swear that every single one out there relates to at least one of the characters, I'm crying just by writing this comment, guys go watch it, it's more than any other anime worth your time😭😭😭

Like at the time when she went through this yes she was a bad/neglectful mom, but then you realize it gives you back story he was the only one that cared about her and she lost him. She eventually came around obviously but I couldn't be mad at her for this when you see what her backstory was with her parents I forgave her. I really hate when people just use the word "grooming" or "pedophile" so easily nowadays. Of course people who have sexual intention towards children before their puberty could be completely fit those category. But, for "children" which usually already categorized as adult in past age can't be instantly fit those words. It would break my heart if anyone of my parents or grandparents would leave me. Listening the background music make feels so emotionally hurted I can't even explain. In the case of kyoko San it hurts more because the person who got love only from his lover not even her parents want to see her. At last, everything for her was katsuya San only the father of tohru because he was the one who gives her courage. But, when he left her behind she was totally broken. At the time, she wished to die but she had to stay cuz she promised katsuya San that she will make their daughter courageous and good hearted and a kind person. That's why for their daughter sake she stayed. But, she couldn't leave without him and at last she died. This whole anime makes me cry to my nerves. I’d never thought this was “grooming.” What is happening in this prelude, looks like kyoko’s life style was completely messed up: her family and “friends” don’t give two sh*ts about her. So katsuya on the other hand, I don’t he was planning to seduced her at all, sure, kyoko was in a vulnerable situation but he didn’t took advantage of her. More likely saved from this hell hole.

When someone sees a diamond thats broken, but with love, understanding and giving that person the light and love to florish, a feeling of family, hope and being themselves they polish to shine over time, when otherwise their toxic family would tarnish, weaken their will in the world, keep their dreams and ambitions in the dark. When a guy or woman takes a chance on an imperfect soul they can awake that shine that was once dull in a smile, awaken a heart to love and and a soul to rest, and see life through hardship and suffering, endurimg of another and embrace an unlikely relationship that might help them have a different outlook on the world and create a bond through gods will that life more tolerable, more bareble. When someone falls in love with a broken soul they set it aflame and restore its fragile heart to a diamond shining in what could be and a strong relationship that can see past imperfections and weaknesses and together become a tag team power couple that many thought not possible, someone diffrent or disabled or broken might be the right person if given a chance, one might learn and sse things differently through their eyes and what they have been through, can make the other strive to be a bettter person, try harder and make a difference.
Thats what I felt and saw when watching this.
I’d never thought this was “grooming.” What is happening in this prelude, looks like kyoko’s life style was completely messed up: her family and “friends” don’t give two sh*ts about her. So katsuya on the other hand, I don’t he was planning to seduced her at all, sure, kyoko was in a vulnerable situation but he didn’t took advantage of her. More likely saved from this hell hole.
And it's not like this is the only anime with this kind of setup
