Thank you Matt for sharing a summary of the UK employee's disciplinary action process, up to the appealing stage. Very informative!

Your video just tells us how things SHOULD work. But that's not how things do work in the real world. It all depends on the judge. One judge in Manchester took 'beliefs' as fact without any reasonable grounds being put forward or a reasonable investigation being carried out. Oh there was an investigation, but it didn't investigate the actual allegations or establish any of the facts employer relied on to dismiss the employee. The employer DOES NOT have to supply all relevant evidence,, they can just dismiss you an make up some BS for tribunal, which the judge will accept as fact. Any appeal does NOT need to be dealt with impartially, because when the appeal officer admits at tribunal he made his mind up about guilt before going into the appeal, the judge will just give some BS excuse and allow it!!! If things actually worked as textbooks say they do, then one tribunal in Manchester would have ended very differently!
