This feels more like he was composing in a genre that he liked, not just doing a deliberate cliche / satire / ripoff. Quintessentially 80s derivative, but somehow authentic and original. Nicely done.

That's exactly it. He's not trying to be some 80s artist. He IS an 80s artist, doing his thing but within the musical context of a previous generation. Born too late, I guess. I feel the same way about my own music when I write. I'm working inside the soundscape of previous generations, but to make something new.

and i was like...yes...it's a LOVE LETTER...and that's ok! more people should be doing it! but very few artists are as talented as Brothertiger.
(btw the musical artist i was talking about is Mirrors, their album Lights and Offerings.)

The slowdown/changeup at 2:28 and then the adding the percussion at 2:58 is so beautiful, genius and satisfying. Sounds corny, but Heaven is the perfect name for this song. Just makes my heart soar, makes me feel like I can do anything.

This definitely belongs in the third act of a movie, where the hero and his romantic partner, both wearing sunglasses, drive around the city in a convertible car while the sunset reflects orange and yellow off the mirrored panels of the skyscrapers lining the streets. And there's a dog in the backseat, also wearing sunglasses.

When i heard the first tones of this song i was already sold again. The 80's vibes, the beautifull cityscapes and then the "In your face" moment when the litter is showed. Again thumbs up for this song and the video.

this can only come from an obsession with bands like tears for fears and prefab sprout. incredible songwriting at work here. this takes me on such a journey - the switch to a triplet feel in the conclusion is so powerful. The remix that CFCF did also blows my mind. He reworked it into something that feels more akin to mid-2000's alt rock and it holds up just as well. That's just the versatility that a brilliant song can have. Fantastic work.

This song in particular reminds me of my childhood in the late 80s and early early 90s and they were really fun times, so aside from the song being great, it just makes me smile and reminisce of the good old times in the past... that's a pretty cool thing you should consider as an artist! Where was this shot? Am really loving this. Everything from the music to the cinematography is incredibly pleasing.
What I saw: NYC, Chicago, London, Singapore, HKG, and Bangkok. Towards the end there's a city that is by some cliffs on the desert and I'm not sure of where that is.
Found footage, so yea, all over the place! Kinda a big part of the song and what it means!
