I bet it never gets truly dark in that city during the summer months. I live in Edmonton, Alberta and I love our overnight twilight but Uppsala is 5 more degrees closer to the Arctic Circle so I bet their overnight twilight is even more spectacular being less than 2 degrees south of the Arctic Circle. Our two cities share the same climate and weather, though I suspect Uppsala enjoys a lot more precipitation year round. Edmonton is practically an arctic desert

I think that in summer, especially in June, on white nights, a trip to Uppsala would be appropriate 🙂
Maybe it wouldn't hurt a Christmas, New Year's Eve in Uppsala.

I have my country house near Uppsala and I can tell you that it is indeed fantastic in summer. These parts at least. The old parts near the castle and church and the botanic gardens and Linneaus garden. And also the areas by the river.
But sadly Uppsala is also a city wrecked by modern architecture, so a lot is lost forever and ruined by our politicians deep lack of respect for our cultural heritage.
