I agree he unironically steered the ship and knew how to tone the program. He was also more confrontational in awkward situations that made for good laughs
Right in the middle of a conversation and the comics riffing, let’s got to a moron on the phone. Why? I’ve listened for years. Yes, Opie had his moments and could be funny. But he ruined it because he wanted to be the main character instead of “guide the ship”. I’m not even an opie hater but come on. His posts after getting fired were horrible. The best episodes are with Patrice, Vos, jimmy and Kelly. But he still insisted on let’s go to the callers. Why? He always says the bit had ended and yada but many times the conversation just got rolling. I like opie but he ruined a very good thing. He was by himself, you think everyone else was wrong?

What happened to all the comments?
Farts in the wind.
Holy shit that was years of people thoughts and love for Patrice. Wtf!?
Some type of mass censorship and destroying of the past.
The j UA-cam happened!
I’m noticing some words on the black Philip show being censored.
My people 🤝🏽💪🏽
Opie is really not as bad as the comments will have you believe.

He worse, gtfoh
@@falvoa you don't like him?
@@falvoa he was the brains behind the whole operation. Hating Opie is a sign of low iq but the majority are chip fans so it makes sense
