The train was for Hitler's order to destroy Paris. Hitler wanted the city to be destroyed if the Wehrmacht could not hold it.
I think it alludes to the real-life plan Nazis had to destroy Paris if it was deemed impossible to hold.
Hitler did actually order to bomb Paris with a V2 rocket, one of the officers decided not to however from what I heard
