We had a party, throwing albums on right and left. I'll never forget this album, it got 6, 7 girls up and dancing. The power of Alex Chilton!!
R.I . P Patrick Mathe . Without him this album would not exist .
Came by here for Come By Here. Thank you. ✞
The album came up while I was listening to different songs and I almost felt when I saw that the full album was there this is my favorite signer ever RIP Patrick :)
Lo vi en Madrid, en Rock Club, hacia 1987, con muchos gringos entre el público. Qué gran recuerdo y qué gran disco (que regalaba la revista Ruta66 al suscribirte)
Beautiful album!
mom said turn it down, and it still sounds good! That is unearthly.
Thanx for posting this obscure album by this genius ~~~~~~~ I bought it when it came out & listened to it many dozens of times in the 1980s in Columbia, SC
This is lovely also a lovely song volare David Bowie sang it once to also beautiful version
"Take it all off": versión de un tema de Bo Didley incluido en su álbum "Where it all began"
Thanks for uploading this iconic album !!!!! Brings back SO many great memories
Take it all off!❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for uploading this album. I never did get around to hearing it back in the day.
You're welcome! I uploaded it since I couldn't find some of the songs here on UA-cam and I'm glad I could be of some help.
Thanks I appreciate the post, there's a sub for ya !
We wore this stuff out man.We would be doing dali lama and Alex would go into chalie brown. some crazy shows.
that volare cover is pretty good i say that as a native speaker lol
I like the version of "Raunchy" ...the guitar instrumental (I believe was originally Bill Justis from the late 50s).
+Bobby Tune that got George Harrison into the Silver Beatles I think .They used to say " play Raunchy George" .
It was Link Wray who played Raunchy
I was guessing Duane Eddy.
Whats the story with the extra tracks? They're not on my original edition of the LP from 1987. It's a crying shame since this record doesn't even have its own Wikipedia page. Thanks for posting!
Yeah, where from the extras? Nice! Does anyone know the chords to "Thing for You"? I cannot find them I need them No one seems to know them. This must be a CD from somewhere - a lot more sky in the photo, and different lettering...they had the original photo to work from! Hmmm....
it's from the CD that came out on Razor and Tie years ago
Well, that just shows how much I know. Ahem. But I tell you someday I'll play that song. I do have a lot of Alex's albums, including a CBGBs show I did. Ever hear him with a Farfisa organ?
+Charlie Messing I wanna hear!
John Coleman
Just got your note - from a few days ago - I'd be happy to burn you a CD - send address - it'd be nice if you could send back a couple bucks for the postage (whatever it is) but I'm happy to do it - he was in fine 70s form. Thanks, Charlie
