- The Napoleonic Era of the late 1700s and early 1800s is considered the British Royal Navy's most lauded era in the history of the British Royal Navy.. It is the era made famous by Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar. However, there are other stories that haven't been told as frequently. Stories of valor, bravery and glory...and even sadness and despair. Enter YOU, a British sailor with merchant experience who was "impressed" into the British navy. You will experience the life and history of a British Royal Navy sailor.
The Epic battle of San Domingo the last major naval engagement of the Napoleonic Wars.

I have been waiting on this finale part of this series. Great story thanks for sharing this one.
I can’t believe you don’t have a few hundred thousand subs yet, this and the other series are amazing, really hope you can continue pumping out content like this, earned yourself another loyal sub
Thanks for watching more coming!
If there a single theme running through these videos, it is the now long forgotten people across time serving "admirably and with distinction." The British Royal Navy would never again have a decisive victory at sea.
Well said :)
I loved this series! I love what you do and have listened to the Roman soldier series aswell. You deserve alot more subs. Keep doing what you're doing!
Cheers Joey thx for watching. Just started another Roman series.

amazing
Were the naval battle parts made with napoleon or empire, total war?
It's been a while but believe so yes one of those but cannot remember which.
ships of the line had 3 gundecks
Did I state to the contrary? I'm aware it's 3 unless you mean the animations I used from total war? Those were just illustrative but aye not exact.
The most profile ship of the line during the Napoleonic Era was the 3rd Rate "74s" IE a "two-decker" with the French Sane-designed Temeraire-Class ships the single-most popular model. Ordered 120+ times (~118 ships launched) and copied extensively by the Royal Navy both from prizes as well as the Admiralty's own plans (the Pompee and America classes).
A three-deck 1st Rate ship of the line was reserved for 100+ gun ships. While impressive and fit for admirals kicking around Channel Duty, these saw much less action than you think. The best part of this series has been the realistic nature of it - serving on a 74 that just missed Trafalgar is terrific.
@@LRoss2777 Aye :) All the ships I referenced were the actual ships from the Battle and their movements leading up to it. The only fictional element (other than animations serving as illustration) is the main character...the captains, admirals, battles, dates, locations...events all happened as detailed.
Thanks for your post and watching! :)
