LUI-ABC, the low-cost quadruped robot for research and education

I'm proud to share my project from the scientific initiation scholarship at CNPq with my university, UFABC. This is my first demonstration of LUI-ABC, one of the first quadruped robots designed for educational and research projects for schools and universities, available for free as open-source software and hardware. Due to the increasing relevance of legged robots nowadays, such as ANYmal C from ANYbotics, used in offshore inspections by Petrobras, the main goals of this research are to improve robotics and control studies by developing a low-cost quadruped robot that is easy to replicate with common components, such as custom 3D-printed parts, off-the-shelf electronic components, and open code.
