I enjoyed your video. It is fun to talk about fall clothing and wish list. Fall clothing is so much more fun than summer clothing. I wish fall is here. It is still in 90's here in Houston. I am so tired of my summer clothes -have been wearing them for almost 5 months. I can't wait to put them away and take my fall clothes out-just long sleeve shirts ,very thin sweaters, jeans, and longer skirts really as the fall here is not like yours. It is still very warm, just a little cooler than 90's.
I find that treating jean shopping as an experiment helps soooo much. Going in-person to try on jeans can be a win even if you don’t find anything you want to buy - try on styles and sizes you’re not 100% sure on, but take lots of pictures and notes while you’re out trying jeans on. Then once you get home, you can look through your photos and notes to find patterns on what you like versus didn’t like and generalize those preferences regardless of brand/etc. Helps inform online shopping for jeans!

Very nice fall wishlist. I will live vicariously through you since we don't have a fall. I'm in Florida and there's literally no fall, the leaves don't fall off the trees, it stays hot. I went for a walk this morning and it was 80°F at 7 AM with sweltering humidity and I was soaked when I got back home. We just call fall, Summer Part 2. 😂
That's nice as well though! My dad would kill for that climate lol, he always complains when the colder weather arrives 😂. I personally love it. Nothing beats crisp air against my face 🤤
Lol I’m in Massachusetts and fall here is beautiful but occasionally I do wish I was in sunny hot Florida 😂😂

I think all of your wish list items are reasonable, and should be staples in a wardrobe. I am with you on the brown, it's such a nice, warm neutral. my next knitting project is going to be using a brown tweed. One thing about a polyester blend in a sweater is that it holds its shape and probably stands the test of time much longer than 100% wool. I love your wish list items for sweaters I think they are pretty ! I would get the UGGs, I do not see them phasing out anytime soon I've had mine for years, and I especially like going barefoot in them. They're so squishy and cozy!! Happy fall to you!!!!! 🫖🍂

I'm glad to have you back! Happy Autumn! Great choices for your wish list. I've lost a lot of weight and had to dig into storage bin of a smaller size from years ago. A number of the pieces were too dated for me to wear. But one thing I was excited to find was a white cable knit sweater in cotton! Perfect for this type of weather but also a timeless classic that is probably more on trend now than it was when I wore it years ago. I love to buy pieces that I know are going to last in my closet for years to come.

I used to buy the same piece in various colors if I really liked it. No more because when decluttering, I found out that the first one I got was my favorite but was hard to let go of the least favorites because I like the other one. Also, for some unknown reason, sometimes the fit was not the same.
I think for most people this is the case. We like that specific color and another one might not suit us as well. I notice the fit with big retailers too. I own a pair of Selected Femme trousers that I absolutely adore. Ordered the black ones as well but those were a lot bigger!🤷🏻♀️
Different sizing or for writhing the same pattern/item happen because of dyes! Different colors and chemicals affect the threads differently, affecting the sizing as well.
I have a pair of grey Levi’s jeans the style is called “ wedgie “, I have the short length, for the tracksuit check lululemon, they have a hoodie that I cannot wait to get and endless leggings, you will never want to get out of them, free people has some great cozy casuals too, best wishes

Get the Uggs! I will never live without them ever again. I'm 53 years old, and I don't care about trends. They are so warm. I hate socks which is another reason I like them because I don't have to wear socks. I schlepped through Iceland with my Uggs and no socks and was so warm!
Uggs are the most comfortable winter shoes ever. Owned them for years as a teenager and wore them to death. I think they might make an appearence this winter 👀
I will never wear them outdoors again after sipping down icy stone steps in them last time they were trendy - grips are rubbish - and ripped 6 cm sq full thickness skin off the palm of my hand! Be careful they are lethal!! And my husband who has been saying for ages ‘why are you wearing slippers’ had a great big told you so moment!!
@@lacolocha75 Oh my heavens! I will say, you can purchase Uggs with a stronger grip, which is what I did for Iceland b/c yes, the regular ones are not meant to be walking on glaciers and icy roads. I'm sorry you had that experience. I'd probably feel the same way.

For me Uggs are a classic 😂. Living in Norway I need them for 1/2 of the year. I just love them. I don’t care if they are in fashion or not.

Top Shop does some nice grey washes in jeans, the Moto cut especially. For sweaters, that all-synthetic mix will age poorly. H&M does some blends with 4-6% wool that surprisingly age quite well. But otherwise I would look for merino wool or at least 50% cotton. Those turtlenecks do look overwhelming. Mock necks can be more comfortable.
Do they have good thrift shops or apps like Poshmark, Depop or Vinted in your country? If so, it might be a great place to find quality items on your list at a great price.
I personally prefer mocknecks as well. Most of my knits are like that. We have Vinted but I don't shop on there a lot because I can't return the item if it doesn't fit. I should visit thriftshops more often though!
@@thepreppyminimalist I measure some of my best-fitting items, and then compare that to the Vinted (or other) listing. Measurement across the bust on tops (armpit to armpit when laid out flat) and waist/rise on jeans or trousers (rise is crotch seam to top of waist). If the person listing hasn’t provided it, you can ask. Honestly, I’ve had great luck shopping that way. Good to know those measurements when shopping in store as well.
Also I remembered another great fitting pair of grey jeans: there’s an H&M style called Vintage Slim that’s really comfy and flattering if you can find it new or secondhand.

If you want some affordable winter boots similar to Uggs I would suggest nordic boots from D.Franklin. Very warm and comfortable, did not put them off my feet last winter♥☺

I am very tall (sleeves are always to short) and also don't like to wear polyester. So 12 years ago I started knitting sweaters myself. Right know the designing trends are so easy to knit up and so much your style. Maybe that's something, you would like to try out 😊 greetings from germany!

Hi, please consider an another alternative to UGGs, UGG boots are made from baby lambs 🐑 😢 perhaps you can find good leather boots second hand.
I bought the converse in leather, but i dont like them, they look so wide, i send them back😅 i habe the 70s canvas in black and the normal low ones, i like them better
They do look quite wide in comparison to the canvas ones. I looove the 70's ones as well!😍

Hoi hoi! Ik heb een 36 besteld op Zalando maar op het labeltje staat XS. Erg verwarrend 😂 maar op Zalando bestond geen 34 dus dan maar de 36 alleen blijkt een XS te zijn. Valt leuk oversized maar niet te groot ofzo.
