Our new league has everything you described except we have kickers and defenses and I don’t see a way to have that change at this point. Otherwise, our league seems perfect and ready for long term fun.
I have been playing dynasty since 1995 and have never played in a dynasty league with a taxi squad. I much prefer to play with expanded rosters. Dynasty leagues should not be like redraft where there is pretty solid talent sitting on the waiver wire. Dynasty, to me, is about evaluating talent very early in a player's career arc and then living with your talent evaluation, right or wrong, good or bad. I enjoyed the presentation.
When is the best time to cut players to make room for the new class of rookies? Whats the best roster size? We have been doing a cut down to 14 and then have a 4 round rookie draft for a roster size of 18.
I'm in one league on sleeper, & I do like it, but CBS is the best website for fantasy (although the CBS fantasy app is just awful) the website is hands down the best. (I've also played on Yahoo (worst), ESPN (just as bad) NFL & some 3rd world country site (my fantasy league I believe) CBS keeps records for the league; W/L records (for each yr & all-time standings) it shows your record vs each tm (per year & all time) breaks down each yr for league & for your team, all time points scored, whose the most consistent, league champion, how many times we've won it . Shows your teams finishes each yr, which yr was your best (& worse), point differential, streaks, etc..... I play in 2 leagues on CBS (17 years for one & 16 years for the other) I can pull my team up from 15 years ago, look at my record, who was on my team, what I scored each gm & etc... if Sleeper & CBS were to combine, they would put everyone else out of business (IMO). Also, i agree w you, playing ff with team Def is horrible. With that being said, you should really look into IDP. Fantasy football with IDP is on another level, when people first hear IDP, they will knock it. but once you play it, you will be hooked. I can't play ff without IDP anymore, it's boring. (Defensive players are fantasy players also) one more thing....Kickers are players also, I've seen games where kickers are the only ones to actually put points on the scoreboard (whether it's 1 FG, or 6 FGs) A couple yrs ago I was playing a division gm in one of my league's. Really close game, until my kicker had a 5/6 FG gm (only points in that gm was FGs) my kicker outscored almost all of his WRs. [Our starting l/u is: 1 QB, 3 RBs, 4 WRs, 2 TEs, 1 flex (RB,WR,TE), 1 super flex (QB,RB,WR,TE), 1 K, 3 DL, 3 LBs, 3 DBs.] with a 26 man bench, (no IR & no taxi) amazing league that we've had going for 17 yrs. I really do like sleeper, don't get me wrong, but both sites could use what the other one has.... @dynasty buff
Can you do multi-team trades? I.e. can Team 1 trade player A to Team 2, Team 2 trades player B to Team 3 and Team 3 trades player C to Team 1 all in the same transaction?

After the startup draft on sleeper, does the rookie draft occur annually on sleeper as well Or do you have to do it on a separate website?
It typically happens after the startup draft on the Sleeper app. You can add a supplemental draft after the fact!

Nah 13-14 is the floor for a standard league with 9 starters
