lot of fun, thank you for taking us on your journey!
Epic trip, awesome views, life long memories. Thanks for taking us all along with you both!
Literally one of the best biking video I’ve ever watched. And that’s saying something since UA-cam and Netflix is all I have to watch. Great work!
jacob sanders UA-cam and Netflix. That’s all you need.
Dusty Betty it really showed!
Ric Vespa I totally agree!
Great video Dusty Betty! Thanks for taking us on the journey with you and Steve!
Well...I have something new to add to my bucket list! Thanks for taking the time to video and share. Hats off to Steve for being such an encourager, too. His best part of the day always had something to do with watching his wife succeed.
I used to work in superior, and seeing those vistas brought back some wonderful memories. You guys pushed hard through difficult terrain, and made a spectacular journey and video. Thanks for sharing!
This was great. I have had friends ride across america and blog about it. The first time I rode Sedona I met a guy on Chuckwagon who was bikepacking and blogging about his trip from the U.S. border to Moab. Seems like everyone writes blogs about bikepacking, but I have never seen a good bikepacking trip like this on youtube. Thanks for putting this together!
Fantastic trip, footage, storytelling, everything. Thank you for sharing, Tess & Steve. Keep up the awesome journey and sharing it here with us.
That is so great! Thank you two for showing us this trip! You Rock!
Outstanding ride guys, going to have to look that trail up when out the Spring while visiting family. You are right on the trail fairies they can save your life. Keep up the awesome fun guys and keep going.
This video was great. Bike packing looks like such a great time. I hope to do some next summer and start adventuring.
Love everything about this video, especially the editing. It was better to watch than 90% of all short mtb movies I've watched. Great job, guys. And what a cool adventure. Cheers from Brasil.
You guys are so inspiring. I love watching all the adventures you have together. Most of all, I love how encouraging Steve is with Tess and constantly praising her successes. He is such a good husband to you! I love seeing that! You two make a great team!
Really enjoyed this video. Appreciate that you mentioned thanks to those that four wheel out and bring the water caches. I've hiked, mtn biked, dirt biked, and fourwheeled in AZ for 30+ years so have been over a lot of trails. What a lot of hikers and mtn bikers don't understand is that a lot of the trails they use wouldn't exist if it weren't for dirt bikers and fourwheelers. Some of those trails even get shut down to those that made them back in the day. Have fun on your adventures.
That was an awesome adventure ! totally gripping and i tip my hat to you guys for your commendable stamina and expert planning of routes and water pickups . " these trips will kill you if you dont plan "
Dusty you have the ultimate sense of humour and witt .
You guys are killing it!!! Extremely well done and entertaining to watch. More of this for sure!
Probably the best video you guys have made. Liked the editing and music choices. Really liked mixing it up with Steve throughout.
Your vids just keep getting better! Masterful storytelling, great shots, and expert editing, i loved the whole journey! Keep the awesome content coming! Can't wait to hear your take in those new rims after you've puts some more miles on them.
Thanks for the beautiful views. What a great adventure to share with ones you love.
"Pack out what you pack in" - Good job guys!
Super well done video and very entertaining! Makes me even more stoked for the bike packing adventure my wife and are going on this spring.
Great video folks, watched every second, no cooler way to spend an hour in the morning. The
scenery was incredible, I would love to go on a trip like that, although I was with you all the way.
I imagine you would have been saddle sore, I probably would not be able to walk. Really enjoyed
your video, thank you, Be safe and stay dusty.
That! was! awesome!!! That's definitely one of the coolest things I've ever seen done on a MTB and it was so cool watching you guys do it! Inspirational!
Wow! Your best video yet. Loved every minute. Inspirational and played like a short movie. Thanks and keep it up.
Thanks for sharing your adventure! You did a great job boiling it down to the good, the bad, and the beautiful.
Definitely worth the watch. That was an amazing adventure, thank you for sharing. You guys make an awesome couple.
Was a longer video than I’m typically into watching but I watched it all. Purdy good stuff. Good job guys.
What a super trail to ride. The both of you did a great job on all the technical stuff. Love it when couple's share those wonderful moments together. Thanks.
Loved it. No idea how I missed this. That slot canyon downhill looked epic!
I used to hate bike packing but your channel makes it look fun!
What an incredible journey! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this. Great editing too. It isn't easy to take 3 days of footage and compile it into a shorter video. Much respect!
I like that you switched between cameras to get thoughts/words of wisdom from you both. I've never done bike packing. Done backpackig and I like it. This looks pretty fun, though. I can imagine how your bike would handle differently. Nice video!
well done Guys, this looks fun.. and Thanks for Encouraging others to Pack Out :)
I watched the whole video, and it was so worth it. I love watching your adventures! I think it's really cool how you guys can just roll with the punches and adapt on the fly. I'd definitely have issues with that. . . that and that water from that tank.
really nice video. makes me want to bikepack even more. i love that it is done from a rookie bikepacker point of view and its on the bikes you have, not purpose built bikes. i live in AZ and this route may be my first bikepack try!!
I did this loop in late march 2019 and the water trough at 34:11, you can lift the metal cover as it is on hinges and makes it easier to put your bottle in that murky water. Since I watched your video before going there i knew about that hidden spigot , so thanks a bunch!! I watched it again now and it's fun to see places I now have been too, so familiar. I was alone and had a blast, never a dull moment. Thanks again for the Vid.
I have watched this video three times since you published it. It is just beautifully edited and so relaxing to watch. Love the way you pushed yourselves, the end result is stunning. Keeps me motivated through the long wet winter here is the UK.
Very inspiring. I've gotta try this! I never considered the bikepacking thing but this looks so fun. Thanks
looks like a really fun trip! thanks for sharing! love learning from others through UA-cam!
I can't bike anymore, but I love watching your videos. Great job!
What an awesome video! Not too long at all. Beautiful country. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Another down to earth honest video ,loving your videos guys. I am wanting to do some bike packing this summer . I live in Canada and was planning a trip in Country but this trip looks AWESOME .Great job recording it. Thanks for the inspiration
I enjoyed every bit of the video! With you and Steve commenting, it was like being there, too!!
Beautiful edit, Tess! I greatly enjoyed the video, and I want to congratulate you and Steve for pushing yourselves and sharing all of this with us. It looks like you guys have an awesome relationship, and I'm very happy for both of you.
This is a great video! Loved seeing an area that I would never get to see if it wasn't for you. Loved your education of what to carry when bike packing on another one of your other videos. You two are great. keep it up
You guys are an awesome duo. I watched the whole video, thank you for uploading your adventure!
I loved watching this! What an incredible experience you guys had. I just started mountain biking last year (my boyfriend started back at it a couple years ago after doing it when he was younger and then letting it fall to the wayside) and although it's tough and can be scary, I absolutely love it and the community that goes with it and the way it creates experiences for my boyfriend and I to have together. My boyfriend and I live in Scotland and I'd love to do a trip like this here come the Spring or Summer time!
Loved every minute of this video guys. I'm missing Arizona already and can't wait to make the move this month. Spent the last week of December in Phoenix with my daughter, got 2 great days of riding in, and loved it.
I know it comes as a shock when you discover how slow you go when loaded down with gear. Over rough terrain(mountains) 35-40 miles is a long hard day. I did some of the GDMBR in 03-04 with full suspension and BOB trailer. An random day from my journal was; 4:13:36, 24.4 mi, 5850' elevation, average speed 5.7mph with a max of 29.1. plus you have to make water(filtering takes time) and food stops, take time for a happy snappy(pic). I am surprised at how well bikepacking has taken off with the non-traditional bike bags/racks. Seems more stable the old ways= panniers and/or trailer. I guess it depends on how remote you are going and what you need to take. Foresty Forest gets pretty out there!
PS, thanks for the video! Well done!
Really good video! I actually just finished this route Monday night. Watched the Video today, and I feel like I just relived everything. Carrying too much water, having trouble crossing the river( I somehow made it through the brush) running out of Daylight and having to finish Ripsey in the dark. I even saw a Fox in the same area! Thanks for sharing, will be subscribing.
Superb edit, really well done and gave the feel of the whole trip so well ... love your videos, this one is very inspiring
Hell yeah! Love the content you guys are putting out. I hope we get to see more of these videos.
You guys always have the best most chill vibe, just enjoying what you’re doing and having fun. It’s great. Keep it up!
Thank you for the awesome video. You two are a great lovely couple. You are an inspiration for all.
I love how relatable you guys are! thanks for sharing!
Best part of the vid is getting through the hardships of the last day. Great vid
I really loved this video! I bet you guys had an amazing time. That’s some true bonding time for your relationship. Love it.
Great video my wife and I love to watch them . Not a lot of you tubers make videos that couples can both watch, so thank you .
Great video, thanks. I love off-road bikepacking trips.
Way to go doing that trip. You guys are tough and obviously very good at roughing it in the outdoors. Great video.
I think this is my favorite video I have seen on the channel so far. Keep it up guys :)
Yeah trips like that are awesome. I did some bikepacking in costa rica a few years ago with a local friend and we travelled really light. We used fancy hammocks instead of tents, didnt need sleeping bags and food and water was always readily available. So all we had to carry were our backpacks. (Deuter Transalpine 30L). It was an amazing journey :)
Omg what an adventure.....!! Keep posting the videos, they are amazing....!
This was actually fun to watch, the whole 38 mins of it. My last backpacking adventure was to Sturgis on a Harley, lol. But yours looked more fun. This has to be your best video yet on this channel. Keep getting dusty!
Due to the content of the channel, I hate to say this, but....don’t nothing compare to the thrill of a Harley and it’s intoxicating freakish tone.. YEEEHAAAAAW
I watched every second of this video. Sure, I had laundry to do, dishes to wash & bills to pay, but who wants to waste time doing that boring nonsense when Dusty Betty and her beau are posting an awesome video like this. Congrats on such an Awesome accomplishment out there getting dirty in such a fun way. Wheelie on folks. Wheelie on... :-)
Similar situation here today. This is my favorite bike-packing video next to Iohan Gueorguiev's "See The World" series but he is kind of perma-packing so that is a whole different thing. Betty's video is very relatable and they seamlessly included so much critical information that I feel much more confident about tackling a longer, more remote trip than I did before watching the video.
Inspiring, just when I needed to find a winter vacation idea. Happy to see you guys take the bikes you had.
What a memorable adventure! Love that yall keep a good attitude despite the hardships!
This is my favourite video so far on your channel Tess! I wanted to see more!! It was so inspiring and fun!! I'm definitely keen to try bike packing. Keep being awesome :D
Wow! I find this type of cycling video really unique and interesting. Great work guys!
That trail/trip looked amazing! And the scenery is stunning. I'll definitly be riding that someday. Thanks for making such a great video, makes me want to get out and ride👍
Wow! Kudos to the folks stocking water along the trail. Awesome people.
Bikepacking is not really my thing but man i watched all 38 minutes of this, great adventure and great video!
I know I'm 2 years late watching this. But it looks like a really fun ride. Perhaps next year when we have no more kids getting married, and hopefully no nasty viruses trying to wipe us out.
Thanks for an incredibly awesome video even two years later.
Steve, you lucky SOB ! She is a keeper. Beautiful, adventurous and full of life. Now if I could find a girl like that. Love the videos and narrative. Love you guys! Keep it up 😁
Wow! Might have to watch this one again. Thank you for sharing.
I'm really jonesing for a trip right now. Great video bringing the experience and showing the mindset. Thanks so much!
This is a great video, those skies are amazing. Well done to you both.
I love the video and have to shout out to Oveja Negra. Been rocking one of their half-frame bags commuting and weekend warrior bikepacking for a year now and it looks and functions like the day I got it. I don't know how they do it. Amazing gear imo.
Great video and awesome adventure. Thanks for posting, very inspiring.
lov it ,thanks for taking me along via youtube
You guys are so good in filming! Watched the whole thing. Thanks for doing what you do! Mahallo from the Philippines!
Thanks for reading your comments, Love it, You should take a look at Beowolf full route and Okanagan High Rim /Highland Trail
Maybe this will sell John on wanting to try a bike packtrip. I like how Steve said, "it's like exciting backpacking." Looking at all that mass on your bars makes it even more exciting to watch because I'm nervous of how the weight is throwing you around. I would get pretty nervous on the narrow trails with steep drop-offs. Nice job riding, recording and editing!
I had never thought of using the oatmeal packet itself as a "bowl". Thank you for that nice little tip, and for an inspirational video!-Sean
I greatly appreciated the water filtration in this one. Good point that all water is filtered from something nasty. Yeah for bandannas!
What a cool experience! Thanks for sharing that.
Amazing trip guys!!! Really brave to do it just with a gps phone.
Regards from Barcelona!
Great video. Fantastic landscape, really good comments about your tour. Well done guys! Joerg from Germany
I really love this video I hope we see more in the future. Keep up the good work!
Pretty awesome... reminds me of a 3-day bikepacking trip my partner and i did in the South Chilcotins more than a year ago (which, by the way, i highly recommend as the next location you should go bikepacking next!). Keep up the MTB adventures!
I resubscribed, Great video! I felt like I was there with you. What a gorgeous ride. You guys are very inspiring.
great job guys! i watched the entire 37:53... it was a really good journey/story.
So psyched for you guys to go bike packing and stoked how amazingly beautiful it turned out. Looking forward to The More "you" Explore 2018 😁
I am digging your videos. Really good content and way to knock out an epic route.
Betty this video was so cool...i used to bike pack with my family down in Florida when i lived there....my dad carries an aluminum beating stick for loose dogs (just in case), i saw you almost had a scary moment.....I have never heard of trail angels, thought that was a cool concept, im sure they have saved several lives....thank you so much for sharing, makes want to plan a trip down to Florida again =D
Nice trip, wish I was there with you hehe... We did a bunch of small weekend-holiday during the summer as well... We had a lot more gear though, so we couldn't go into more fun terrain.
Great video you two! This ride is high on my list. You made it more so.
You guys are so inspirational, thank you for sharing with us. Curious if you thought plus-sized tires would have done any better in the sandy wash sections. Cheers.
As you prob know that canyon is known as box canyon. I live 25-30miles from there biking my full squish plus tire is on the near agenda. That picket post area is a museum prior to that my suns school had a feel trip for them. Great video and yes Az has some nice places. You guys past a lot of history and old mine shafts prior to box canyon.
this is freak'n awesome! #lifegoals
oh hellz yeah! i didn't even know how much i wanted to do this until this video!
Cool video and awesome trip. Thank you for sharing. Some seriously tough trail out there. Impressive! First time watching you guys, but I have subscribed and will be back. You were playing in our back yard on this trip. There were a bunch of spots that I was thinking I know exactly where you are. We were standing in that "cool campground" in the trees along Queen Creek just before the Picket Post trail head this past weekend. There are some cool ruins, mines and trails just on the other side of the creek there. Been all over there and on the other side along the Gila River and Florence Kelvin Highway, hiking, biking and off roading. Did you see the holes in the ridge to the right as you came out of the "slot canyon" road to Price Road along the river? Seriously beautiful territory out there that you can only see by hiking or biking in.
